Sorry for causing undue delay. Thanks Drakken for the successful swap. A little bit sad the Temple crumbled but it's okay with the Boss taking over. Plus I imagine most of you would have heard of the Temple before. Hopefully, you guys will enjoy Percussion Week and realise there's more to music than just melody. :P

Some comments before I go to bed with hopes of greeting work at my desk tomorrow. *sigh* Very good week, actually (meaning voting will be really tough). It's certainly a refreshing change. Thanks to Drakken for organizing this themed week.

(2 points) Koudelka - Kiss Twice
Very hard to turn this away. It's classic Kikuta complete with a beautiful, atmospheric melody and great fluid percussion. Easily one of the best tracks for me this week.

(2 points) Age of Mythology Original Soundtrack - Chocolate Outline
Love this. It comes across as being more ambient than percussive but that's all and well for me since I really like the ambience in the song. It's also nice how some of the percussion actually helps add to the ambience (e.g. the bell/chime). Understated for the win.

(1 point) Maple Story - Beachway
Deceptively simple and very effective at the same time. Plus it has bucketfuls of quirkiness. Another win-win combination for me.

(1 point) The Incredible Machine 3 - Techno Rave
This is very, very neat. Possibly one of the better songs in term of percussive merits alone. It's a very tight and catchy song that develops enough to keep me interested.

And the rest...

ChaosField Sound Track - spray -boss-
Nice and fairly complex rhythmic work there. It's one of the more percussive tracks this week and certainly catches my attention enough to want to award it a point. But I'm all out.

Genso Suikoden III Original Soundtrack - Complex Thoughts
Somewhat akin to "Chocolate Outline" but with a stronger lead melody. But admittedly, the percussion and ambience, though rather nice, aren't quite the best. Still, the track was very close to getting a point from me.

Konami All-Stars 1993 ~ Music Station of Dreams - Dance With a Crocodile
Very interesting. This track actually uses animal sounds as percussive instruments. Melody isn't too shabby either.

Splinter Cell 3 Chaos Theory Soundtrack - Ruthless
Another very interesting song. The distortion and modulation are very neat. Add the strong rhythmic beats and you have potentially the most percussive track this week. So based solely on percussion alone, this would certianly be my Song of the Week. But with all other things considered, it doesn't quite have the catchiness of "Techno Rave" and falls a bit short as a result.

How ya doing, buddy?
I think therefore I am... I think.

Um, here's my next nomination, which really is my old nomination that never got used:

* Album Title: Anarchy Online Original Soundtrack Vol 02
* Artist: Morten Sørlie
* Track Title: Shadowland Battle Music (Remix)
* Source: https://funcom.asknet.com/cgi-bin/show/P13383; http://www.mobygames.com/game/window...wlands/credits
* Disc Number: 1 (of 1)
* Track Number: 11
* Catalogue Number: Unknown
* Year: 2003
* Note: This is a remixed track from the Shadowlands expansion pack for Anarchy Online

I've already uploaded the track to the SotW ftp.

And here's Darkcomet72's nomination I found from weeks ago. :P If you're thinking of changing your nomination at some point, Darkcomet, don't hesitate to do so.

* Album Title: Hotdog Storm (Game Rip)
* Composer: Fumito Tamayama, Shige Masco & Yoko
* Track Title: Stage 5
* Source: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8151; http://www.arcade-history.com/index....detail&id=1149
* Disc Number: 1 (of 1)
* Track Number: NA
* Catalogue Number: NA
* Year: 1996

There's nowhere I can't reach.
I think therefore I am... I think.
