And I thought last week was strange.
2 points: China 2 points: Eleanor’s Lullaby 1 point: S.I.D. –sex initial drive- 1 point: Blow Mind (Castle Gate City) Just Missed: Wana ~ Long Version, Cube So here I was, all prepared to make a scathing comment on how this China pales in comparison to my Excite Truck China, which was a potential nom of mine*. Only to find out that this China is awesome. Also apparently you can throw giant super sandwiches at other cars why haven’t I played this game yet. Blow Mind (Castle Gate City) is standout if only for the intro: The “wo-work your body” sounds not like a result of digital sampling, but rather like someone actually recorded someone saying “wo-work your body”, with the stutter and everything. This is the best thing. Oh yeah, rest of the song is good too. Cube: Decent funk tune, though lacks that little special something that would give it the edge over the competition. Track 8: huh. Wana ~ Long Version: Killer intro. Was very, very disappointed when the vocal came in right after, moreso than most vocal tunes I’ve listened to in the past. I’d love to hear an instrumental if one exists. S.I.D. –sex initial drive-: Chiptunes have come a long way, haven’t they? I know nothing about the current scene but damn if there isn’t some talent in it. Great song. Oh man Acrobat Mission, I remember this game. I never liked it . Not big on the soundtrack either, including Countryside, sorry. Death animation was pretty hilarious, though. Eleanor’s Lullaby: Wow. Beautiful piece. Schyman seems to be the real deal, though I hesitate to find out by listening to soundtracks/rips without playing the Bioshock games first, as I’ve heard that you won’t get nearly half the effect without experiencing the music in context or something. Gotta give credit where it’s due, though. Next nom coming up shortly! *Was? Still is. Nobody touch it Jam it back in, in the dark. |
My next nom:
Album: Outlaws PC Soundtrack (red book?) Composer: Clint Bajakian Track: The Shack Track #: 03 Catalog #: n/a Year: 1997 Source: Untitled Document Additional info: I like this song Uploading to FTP. Although, the track from the site is encoded only in 160 cbr. If a higher quality version exists, feel free to use that, provided it’s not the version from this album, which cuts out more than a minute of music from the track (I think). There's nowhere I can't reach. |
