Game: Mickey's Speedway USA (gamerip)
Composer: Rareware Track: Oregon Track #: 23 on Killy's gamerip Catalog #: n/a Year: 2000 Source: Mickey's Speedway USA for Nintendo 64 - MobyGames Additional Info: I AM GOING TO NOMINATE EVERY TUNE FROM THIS SOUNDTRACK UNTIL ONE OF THEM WINS Uploading to FTP shortly. Will get to voting as well. Additional Spam: Not fond of this week. 2 points: Exploding Bounce 2 points: Vegas Baby! 1 point: In-Game 1 1 point: Lost Timbre Missed: Vecanti Hibino is an acoustic genius, as I've said in the BSC. But uhhhhh it's difficult to note that in Labyrinth - Jungle Navigation, though, hearing the copius amounts of Touhou bass in the guitar part. The piano was fine, though the soloing got kinda hackneyed around the end. Wonder how much the source played a part in this. 1:45 - 2:20 was great, though. Well I've come to associate Umineko no Nako whatev with brilliant soundscapes, but hope was just dull piano work. Everything is done better in the above tune, and I don't even like that song much. Lost Timbre is part 3 of team melancholic chamber work this week, and a lot better than the above two works. Some really corny flute and piano solo work in some places, but aside from that it's fine. Glad I can always count on some NON to spice things up. Exploding Bounce is pretty low-tier for him, but not bad at all. Love the ridiculous fake percussion, especially during the intro, though NON's always been good with the fake drums. As for the rest, In-Game 1 does the orchestral-electronic hybrid thing pretty nicely, though the orchestral part was really weird, and not in a good way. seb7 and Vecanti are pretty insignificant, though I did like the latter a bit, particularly when it "looped" and added an extra accompaniment line for some reason. lol did Garry Schyman really do Vegas Baby? Because holy crap Jam it back in, in the dark.
