For a PS2 I'd say get an H2O chip. I have had mine for over a year and it has worked flawlessly with doenloaded NTSC/NA, NTSC/JP and PAL games. So that's what I would have to reccomend.

The H2O chicp is stealth enabled so it can play any game, old or new. As for the DivX, the site sais it can, though I have not tried it yet.
