WoW, I don't know who decision this was, but it doesn't really matter now that RE4 has totally been ruined and I no longer want to play or touch the Wii version.

The removal of the laser sights made sense, but the removal of the gore. What's going to be next? Are they going to start bleeding flowers and puking rainbows? Sorry but this should be a crime. I don't know for sure who's responsible for this but they should be tortued like Prometheus and then burned alive.

I've thought perhaps early build myself, but like you pointed out with 2 weeks to go it has to be a final build and have gone Gold for production to have begun.

My final theory was also public demo, hence the toning down. Therefore that and Infernal's theories are the only two that allows for the gore in the FINAL version. So, here's to hoping.

P.S.
I watched the japanese gameplay for RE4 -GC and it DOES have decapitation for headshots. I haven't found any footage of being chainsawed yet.

CONCLUSION:
Alright here we go. So the videos of the JAP WITH gore was a beta build for I saw that in order to use the knife it had to be equipped, which as we all know you don't have to do in the final version. So that's why it was differect from the final JAP version that does NOT have decapitation. The reason why JAP doesn't have it is because of their new rating board that wouldn't allow them to have that in the game.

The RE4 for the Wii makes all other versions obsolete.

*GC Graphics with higher AA
*TRUE widescreen
*ALL content from the GC and PS2 versions
*Can play with Wiimote
*Can play using the GC/Retro controller which also switches the game back to having the laser sight.

Yeah. I like the Wiimote setup and gameplay a lot, but let's face it, it does make the game waaaaaaaay easier. Which is why kthe Content, widescreen, and alternate control combo sold me on this game. Oh, and the price didn't hurt either

I love on rail shooters like Time Crisis and Virtua Cop. Was never much of a House of the Dead fan, mostly due to weak atmosphere.

Yeah I just saw this myself. It was kind of a no-brainer for a "light shooter" to have co-op, however Capcom didn't know earlier whether the story would allow for Co-op or not.

This brings us to our next mystery, is it Co-op like House of the Dead? (one screen) Or like Time Crisis? (split screen)

Also the actor's are probably away doing the script for RE5 because a good amount of the original VA team has already been casted for returning roles in it (i.e. Wesker)

It's hard for me to say for 100% but theres still things like if RE5 is done in the US and RE:UC in JApan, especially if RE:UC is going to be a budget game, they wouldn't bother flying the VAs over. There could be a good reason, it still sucks that it's not the same VAs.As long as it gets the story accross without being to annoying that's all I REALLY care about.

it's double the price, but is it double the value? (ie. exchange?) It's probably the only game ever to attempt to stay true to USD -> CAD exchange values. Instead of kicking the price well above exchange (usually $10 increase from the USD price) Resident Wiivil 4 was only a $5 increase.

I'd still want to use the Zapper. It may be harder to use, but that will just add to the curve and the overall length. (yes I'm optamistic)

Gonna pick the game up tomorrow with Assassin's Creed. ^^
