Star Wars: Empire at War also has the new version of SecuROM on it aswell but you can bypass it if you use the program Secur-ROM 7 with a pre made profile off the net and then mount the image via Dameon Tools and that should do the trick.
Too bad it wasn't as easy to pirate for the 360. Most amazing jew boots |
Grawl: They do blacklist Dameon Tools, hence why you need CureROM to get around that as well as the copy protection. And CureROM isn't blacklisted because they rebuild the program per each version of SecuROM.
As for your second question, there just might not be a profile yet. I don't know, I haven't really looked into it because I'm getting the game for the 360 not the PC. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
The latest build of CureROM was made before the latest build of SecuROM 7 therefore it's not blacklisted. And just because Oblivion comes out on the 20th doesn't mean that SecuROM 7 was rebuilt to blacklist the latest build of CureROM. The SecuROM 7 that's on Oblivion is the same build that's on Empire at War.
How ya doing, buddy? |
If you listen to the IGN podcast on the game they were saying that they did some comparisons themselves and the minumum requirements are REALLY minimum. But obviously you never know until you try it yourself. But from the looks of the game there is no way that a 64MB video card will be able to run this game. I have a 512MB Radeon X800 and Half-Life two pushes that card to the max, and I can only imagine the horrible frame rate that I would get with Oblivion.
For anyone who has a 360 though, don't bother with the PC version because you know that you'll be able to play it with the best looks and that it willwork next to perfectly. But if people are worried about this game, wait till you see the specs for UT2K7, it needs a video card with a gig of ram on it in order to generate it. (when I was talking about HL2 I meant on the highest of settings.) I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Yeah it really sucks that some stores won't sell the game and others will. But I've head that the 22nd was the release date for so long that not getting the game on the accelerated release date doesn't bug me too much. But it'll just be another day that I'll be able to play the game before I beat it.
Grawl: Now divide that frame rate by 4 and that's about what you'll get. I'm not trying to be cruel, I'm just trying to convey the truth. And to tell the truth your system is pretty darn good for a laptop ^^ I was speaking idiomatically. |
I myself have been playing the role of the "white knight", in the sense that I've been doing everyone's dirty work and have been getting scratch for it. But this path you speak intrigues me, and if you were to give me further details I'd be quite interested in laying waste to thoes petty imployers who do not appreciate the work I've done for them. Mwahahahahahaha... uh hum... sorry bout that ^^;
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I'm stuck at the same quest.
Spoiler:
FELIPE NO |
If anything does, it'll be Oblivion. ^^
By the way have I mentioned that I love this game? Because I love this game. KingdomHearts 2 you say. Who needs that? I've got Oblivion, Mwahahaha... *Yes, I know that I'm mentally unstable thank you very much.* What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
