Well I already have a 360 and I've been saving up for a PS3 since E3 '05 so I've got more then enough for that, actually even enough for me to get a Wii two days after the PS3 launch, though I won't be getting any Wii games at launch though cept maybe Zelda, but that's only because I'll be busy playing Gears of War and the PS3 at that point and won't have too much time for the Wii right away. Plan is though that after Gears there's not much else coming out any time soon for the 360 so that's going to be PS3 & Wii time.
Elixer: I'd think that the PS3 that comes out there will probably be a version 2 model by then, so for you to get one at launch won't be as near as risky as getting one here at launch. As for waiting for more games, that's a good idea because gaming really is about the games, the system is just a means by which you play them... too bad more people didn't realize that. But of course if there's any staple series that you like for a console you know that thoes are always going to be on the same console unless some major shift happens, which won't be any time soon.
Ex. Devil May Cry, MGS, Final Fantasy, etc. Will always be with Sony
Mario, Shams Bros., Metroid, Zelda, etc. Will always be with Nintendo (obviously)
Halo, BioWare games, Forza will always be with Microsoft (that company make godd game, SEIZE THEM!!!) (P.S. and you've got Gears of War coming out in two days, Boo Ya!!!)
Jam it back in, in the dark.
