This is the only thing that I could find about XP on PS3 http://www.techeblog.com/index.php/t...running-on-ps3.
You still need linux installed first in order to operate with the unix firmware of the PS3 hardware. After that you can use a Linux Windows emulation kernel to operate XP within the Unix enviroment. Beyond that I don't know the specifics as to how they did it or what all you can do with it. But there you have it, Windows on a PS3. Most amazing jew boots |
It may be worth while for you to watch the video preview GameTrailers.com has on AC4 if you're interested.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Probably just some extra MP maps and hopefully a re-worked multiplayer mode altogether. Perhaps even decent grapgics, because the 360 one looked like shit compared to PC. And my PC is almost 4 years old.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Man, I don't mind the size of the PS3 all that much. At least it looks good and is the quietest system on th market, both which mean more to me then size.
As for the BC thing, Metal and Inhert are right. The hardware removal was aleays a part of the plan, and after they get it running will be something that will find its way into the rest of the JP & NA units. Burp: It won't bee all that hard. Sure it'll be harder then PS1 emulation, but seeing how the open source community already have a working PS2 emulator for the PC and Sony has a LOT more info and experiance, I'm sure the it won't take all that long for them to get it running. At least they're more dedicated to the whole BC thing unlike another company. Then again seeing how big the PS2 was, I suppose it's more pivotal to Sony too. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Well if Europe didn't have the screwed up PAL 50Hz standard, then they WOULD have been able to use the same emulation as the rest of the world's PS3s have.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
Interestingly enough the PSN is currently down for maintnence. This is usually on Thursdays though. Any ideas? I know that I have one in mind ^^
UPDATE No changes have been made it would seem but the PSN is now back up. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
VF5 is amazing. It's got depth, deficulty, and lots of ranks and items to earn in the quest mode. Some people may complain about the online mode, however it would never work nor has it ever worked for any fighting game. What did we ever do before online games? Oh yeah, we went and got friends, geez I almost forgot...
Anyhow, back to the point. Any reviewer or person who has simply played the game would tell you that it's definatly worth the purchase if you like fighting games. VF5 Review Avg. 90% FELIPE NO |
Mwahahaha....
I won the same amount of tournaments and have reached the rank of 4th dan, feel my wrath. lol ^^ Btw, using Jacky for Quest because I've already mastered Lei-Fei in VF4Evo's Quest mode. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Lion is a good character to start off with. And a good character in general.
I'm almost done getting my fighting style down with Jacky, I've completed my first Orb Disc and thinking of starting a second Quest profile. I'll probably go on to Vanessa next, I like her dual offensive/defensive fighting styles stuck into one character. Also I'll put a request out here seeing how my other thread han't turn anything up yet. If anyone finds parts or the whole OST fo VF5 please let me know, I really want to get it. Thanks ^^ Jam it back in, in the dark. |
The VF5 Online thing is a rumour for both the PS3 and 360. Sega said that it's going to be hard enough re-writing the game for the 360 nevermind online play. And there's no online or add-in support for the PS3 version so that's not going to happen either.
The Bioshock thing, 2K said that they're going to port the game to the PS3 after the games release on PC & 360. No further details, and it's on 1up and GameSpot sites. -UPDATE- Just got back home to update my PS3 and what do you know, but another kick ass feature now enabled on the system. Now not only can I use and HDD, Mouse, Keyboard, USB Controller, or USB thumbdrive of my choice. Now I can use ANY webcam on the system I like. That's right ANY WEBCAM. Unlike MS who made me go out and buy a $50 webcam for my 360 when I already have a $120 webcam, the PS3 lets me use any one of my choosing. Including the 360 webcam. Now maybe between the two systems I'll get my $50 worth out of the darn thing, sure wasn't getting it out of the 360 alone. How ya doing, buddy? |
Don't be getting my hopes up man. You got a source for that?
Most amazing jew boots |
Crackdown was 49.99USD, or at least it should have been seeing how it was 59.99CAD.
On the other side, I don't really care if Bioshock comes to PS3 or not for the game doesn't interest. I might rent it for my 360, but other then that it looks too coring and without multiplayer probably won't have much of a replay value. Look at prey which was their last game. Great first time through, then it was an immediate trade-in. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
That would be a pretty cool feature, though not all that surprising to me.
Don't know if people remember but back when they first announced the PS3, before Wii and after 360 that the PS3 would have a "homepage" that you could customize like a webpage, but it was only viewable on a PS3, and this was essentually a person's interactive profile that people could surf. That was something that they seemed to have lost since the system went into development. Glad to hear that they didn't totally forget about it. The entitlement is something that people are screaming for on the PS3 with the success of the 360's achievement points. Something that I don't care about but many do. And the character like Mii thing sounds too much like speculation/rumour to be true. That's a big feature to not announce ahead of time. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Still, the features are totally up in the air.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
This is the type of thing Sony usually does after their console launch. Like when the PS2 launched and the lack of games, as well as all the current ones sucked, Sony came out and announced a lot of stuff then too. Ex. Online features, ton of heavy hitter titles, etc. While this will be a hell of a gun to aim at the competition if it ends up being true, if more announcements like this follow through the year, it may actually make a dent in the 360's hull. Fingures crossed.
P.S. Anyone know what this PlayStation card is? Is it like a pre-paid card for the PSN or something? FELIPE NO |
Here's what he's reffering to.
http://xs100.xs.to/xs100/06204/Bioshock1-1.jpg http://xs100.xs.to/xs100/06204/bioshock2-1.jpg P.S. Sucks for you Americans cause Crackdown was 59.99 here from WalMart to Futureshop. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Ports in general suck 80% of the time, I don't care what system they're for/on.
You're always going to hear rumours that X game is coming to Y system because people don't want to buy the system it's for whether it be for $ or fanboy reasons. So to dwell on something like this beyond saying that a port is unconfirmed at this time is pointless and a waste of time. For something a little more productive, is Tekken DR up yet? Jam it back in, in the dark. |
So it's not just me who's as confused as hell.
Most amazing jew boots |
lol, yeah, but you've got to admit that their titles rock because we get a chuckle out of them and the young ones have no idea why.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Hantei: Many sites and I included believe that things will go the way of the PS1. The standard controller will come with the system, and the rumble enabled controller will the the seperatly sold controller replacing the normal PS3 controllers on shelves.
-UPDATE- I know that this has already been touched on, but I find this article to be a little more clear on the details of the whole PS Home & Sony's GDC keynote. http://games.kikizo.com/news/200703/012.asp Looks like someone hit a nerve looking at the response KIKIZO got out of Sony. On the flip side, with so many sources getting the same story and Sony's response to all of this I'm actually getting excited for Sony's GDC speech this year and perhaps the first steps to building a community for the system. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Next thing is to wait and see if it's going to be the next PSN title or if it'll ship on disc at all.
I'm not really surprised that it's online only. I rather have them make a great and well supported multiplayer game then a Single Player portion that sucks big time and an undersupported multiplayer portion. The majority of an action games lifetime comes from the online play anyways, and we know that games like this do sell.. and well from the Battlefield series so I don't see the real problem if there even is one. Can't wait for it to come out ^^ I was speaking idiomatically. |
You don't know that for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if a game like this has a co-op VS CPU Army game mode that 99% of online flying games tend to have. So don't give up on thoes huge battles just yet.
To add to my earlier post. I can't wait to get more details on all of the possible customization. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
ROFL
Oh man it's shit like this that cracks me up. Doubletalking redneck reviewers with two-second attention apans who complains when something is too hard. Last time was IGN over God Hand and now it's 1UP over MotorStorm http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3157687 Best part, "Play the lone single-player career mode for any length of time and the frustrations start to kick in, hard." LOL Followed by, "All of us here who played MotorStorm agreed that the online mode was truly its best quality". Damn thoes games with hard careers and great online play. Wouldn't a game be perfect if it were easy and had no online play, man wouldn't that be great? lol Hell they gave Halo 2 a higher score and it only had half what what they said about MotorStorm. This doesn't really bother me. I just thought I'd share the laugh with you guys. FELIPE NO |
Nah man, though I love your dipiction of GAF.. hey wait.. that's like what I think of it too, lol.
I just find it fun to tear down crappy reviewers and laugh at them as they go down in flames (or at least their integrity). But I've come to terms that I'm a little out there so I'm not surprised that people don't share my sense of humour when it comes to these things. Most amazing jew boots |
The difference between this and DOA though is that this is art style, it's not supposed to be realistiv like DOA was trying to be... and failed horribly at, c'mon the people didn't even have skin textures in DOA, next gen my ass.
