I hate having anything on my feet. Sandals are a huge comfort boost over socks and tennis shoes, plus it's easier to take them off when I'm sitting and relaxing somewhere. Thus, as soon as it gets warm enough I start wearing them and don't stop until Marching Band Season and/or winter.
