The better question probably would be what is causing this? Virus? Bad hard drive? What do you mean that it tells you that you have corrupted files? And are you sure it isn't just spyware that is lying to you?
Sounds like a format is in order, given that your hard drive isn't dying. Jam it back in, in the dark.
