That's not entirely unusual. There's a lot of Persian and Islamic influence in the Indian subcontinent, and you have to remember that India and Pakistan were considered one "region" until their split after Indian independence. Not to mention most of the subcontinent was ruled by the Mughal Empire for a few centuries before the British moved in, which was Muslim and undoubtedly had viziers.
