Not downloadable, but the one that was posted a little while ago has the cut-scenes.

It's really not that interesting when it's just video playback, so I don't mind the lack of constant FMV'ing. You could argue that it ruins the old-school feel of it, anyway.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
People said that post-VI Final Fantasy titles are easy. The NES ones are almost as brutal as Dragon Quest's early days.
This game is not a reimagining of Final Fantasy III. It is a very, very faithful remake. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I wasn't trying to insinuate that this game is just as hard (I don't think you could steal Phoenix Downs in the original), just that it doesn't fall prey to the modern-day habit of watering down the difficulty to welcome new players.
How ya doing, buddy? |
Those aren't American version changes; those're changes made as part of the remake.
Also, Mognet allows for the secret dungeon to be unlocked. I think. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Means of legitimately acquiring Phoenix Downs:
The reason I've spoiler-marked that is because I like the game's difficulty and I for one was saddened by this addition to the remake. Oh yeah, and if you haven't done it yet for whatever reason, make sure to visit Cid's airship bunker/basement/garage thing. There's like six of them down there. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

However, because Mini plays a role later on, you need more than just a Red Mage to cast magic. I'd keep some spare wizard equipment/magic in your inventory and just change your Monk into a Black Wizard when you get to Nepto Temple. FELIPE NO |
Onion Knights. That was the starting job in the original (now the uber, secret job), True to their name, they greatly resembled onions. Their heads, anyway.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
You can't easily run through the game, just because you're expected to do a fair amount of levelling. With that in mind, I'd say... 20 hours? Dungeons are short, and if you just run through it and level only when you can't beat the upcoming boss, it should be around 20. Maybe a few hours less.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Hey, anybody still hanging around that wants to be a pal and help me unlock the Onion Knight job by exchanging friend codes and letting me subject you to seven bullshit emails? It'd be much appreciated, of course.

That's just how it works when you first put change jobs. Only the Monk takes advantage of empty hands though, so keep everyone else equipped with weapons.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
If you want sheer damage, you should be going with an unarmed Monk. It's doesn't look like you've been training one up so it'll take a while to milk its unarmed Atk boosts, but it's worth it.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
