White Knight Chronicles is clearly my pick of the century though. I've been a Level 5 fan since Dark Cloud originally came out, and WKC was ultimately the final push I needed to get my PS3. Very excited about this upcoming RPG from a talented team.
...
Dragon Quest IX has me intrigued, but I'm not real sure about it yet. I'd really rather not buy another system for a single game (lookin' at you, 360 and Wii), especially not if the game I buy the system for turns out to be mediocre at best (lookin' at you, NiGHTS. For shame).

Uh. Wow, Jag.
Anyway.
White Knight Story looks promising, but those mech-like battles make me hesitant. We'll see how things go with that, but I agree with Jag about the created character. Pretty neat, so long as he isn't silent and boring.
Dragon Quest IX could be immensely fun, but we'll see how the real-time combat goes. Level 5's games primarily use that style of combat, so I suppose they're suitable enough to get that kind of job done.
Tales of Innocence was released in Japan a few weeks ago, and I wouldn't mind seeing that come stateside. I've heard nothing but good things.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers has been my top watch for a long time, though. The last trailer shown off looked extremely promising, and I like the idea of a famous hero protagonist who is slowly becoming world-weary. I really hope that rumor about development being stalled isn't true.
And while there isn't any news about one, I'd really like to see a new RPG from Grasshopper Manufacture. They were responsible for my beloved Shining Soul series and its spiritual successor, Contact, so I'd really like to seem them get back to work on another one of those puppies.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
