What the hell, no one picked this up today? I just got through the intro and now have the ability to flip between dimensions. Seems pretty fun, though I agree with most reviewers on how bare the third dimension is.
I hope some of you bought it. Gamestop has a deal going on that lasts until the 12th where if you trade in any two used Wii games, you can get any Wii game free (excluding tax). So, perfect if you have two used Wii games you don't want, or if you have one, you can essentially get the game for 16 bucks (the cheapest used Wii game Gamestop carries). And if you have none, you can still save a couple bucks by just buying two used copies of Far Cry or something and trading them back in. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
What, did everyone stop playing this? I sorta rushed through the latter levels to recruit Luigi, so now I'm going to take it from the top and scour each World. Ideally I'll sit down and get that damn Pit of 100 Trials out of the way (the prize is pretty damn awesome).
I'm also a little surprised with the story so far. A lot of tragic characters and betrayals and all that. I thought Count Bleck was going to be a rushed villain like Grodus, but he's turned out to be pretty well thought-out. Favorite villain and character spoiler:
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
It's not really like other Paper Mario games, but it's a damn fine platformer. No single game is ever enough to warrant the purchase of a console (purchasing a console early is like an investment in future, awesome games), but Super Paper Mario is a good start.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
