Oh man, I forgot to mention how much of a killing I made in trades. Got a Torchic, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Larvitar, and Beldam from trading the starters I bred. But best of all, I got two Manaphy eggs (actual Manaphys, not Phiones) from trading a Mothim and a Golbat. I've seen people trade away legendary birds for Manaphys, so I felt good.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Still, who are these people that trade legendaries for uncommons and stuff? Like it sounds so unrealistic...especially with trades that Generic Badass is getting.
It's always one of two things-- desperation, or hacked pokemon.

I have little doubt that the Manaphy eggs I got were hacked. The guy claimed that he just kept resetting Ranger, transferring the egg to Diamond, sending it over to Pearl, then repeating the process, but from the comments I've read you can only get one egg out of a copy of Ranger. And then when people asked how he was able to reset the game, he never responded. To me, it's not a big deal. Even if the egg's hacked, it's as normal as a legit when it hatches.

As for the rest of it (Larvitar, Beldum, Squirtle, etcetera), that's just either desperate people or pretty fair trades. Just go to GameFAQs, you'll find great deals there.

How ya doing, buddy?

Ah, but as with any marketplace, it's all about where you look.

Finished off my starters and got my beloved Torkoal. Guy drove a hard bargain, but he did give me three (Chikorita, Totodile, Treecko) for the price of two (Vespiquen, Gible).

EDIT: Cool, got my Spiritomb egg from Freelance. Thanks, dude.

Alright, semester's over, so I need to get back to bartering.

I was tired of waiting for a Lucario, so I just threw a Piplup onto the GTS and got one. So, if anyone wants that Lucario or a subsequent Riolu, by all means.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Me. *raises hand* Wouldn't happen to have an adamant, would you? And any item/poke you're looking for?

Anyway, I finally progressed a little and beat Wake for my fourth badge. Also undecided on my party aside from Torkoal, so I'll have to get that figured out before I do a new trainer card.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

A docile would be super.

*sigh* Is anyone interested in trading for a Manaphy? I got a cheapo Japanese one that makes me sick to just look at. I hate Japanese Pokemon and Manaphy is in my dex anyway, so I'll let it go for pretty cheap.

How ya doing, buddy?

What does a Lucky Egg do anyway?

EDIT: RAAAAAAI'll take it!

Also, side note, an interesting trade just went down right now-- six of my starters from various generations for the three Regis, Giratina, Articuno, and flippin' Heatran.

EPIC.

How ya doing, buddy?

Hmm, Lax would probably be the best of that group, but I better stick with my Lonely (which really isn't all that bad, I was just looking for Adamant or Naughty). Also, if anyone needs Eevee eggs, let me know. I say eggs because there's no way I'm going to hatch these assholes without Magma Armor or Flame Body. Way too many steps.

I've acquired a ton of legendaries for not a whole lot given up, but I consider it a Pyrrhic victory-- lost both of my Manaphys, which I'm finding are incredibly difficult for me to reacquire. Got my cheapo one that Chaotic's still getting, but yeah. I want an honest-to-God real Manaphy. For now, I'll just stick with my Phione since it's got pretty normal stats (I don't like using legendaries just because they're too strong).

Traded down the Rigigigas I had for a Kyogre, which is alright I guess. I need more second-generation legendaries. I now have Arceus, Darkrai and Shaymin, though.

How ya doing, buddy?

I think the Tutor might be able to do it.

And I hope you get use out of that damnable Manaphy. Lots of bad memories for me. >:/

Thanks a ton for the Tyrogue and Lucky Eggs, though!

That's what I was trying to say last night, I just had no idea how to phrase it ("He has him remember moves he never learned to forget!"). I read that the other day, and I've seen it with various Pokemon. Like with Torterra when I had him learn Wood Hammer or whatever it's called.

I haven't even seen an Arcanine since my time playing Gold, so I might replace Torkoal with him. But... but I like Torkoal. White Smoke is awesome.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

It is how one catches them all for no reason, yes. But it's an impressive goal nonetheless, and I'd be happy to help if you needed it.

Fuck, I kept screwing up natures. Turns out my Ralts was Bashful and not Lonely, so it feels like I wasted my Dawn Stone. Ah well, I'll just level my Pachirisu a little and find a new one. And then I've been leveling an Adamant Typhlosion wondering why the hell his Attack stat still sucked, and then I realized the damn thing is better in Special Attack. So now I need to breed for a Rash or Modest or something.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Yeah, not much to talk about. I've been on Iron Island using Riley for good experience. I have a lot of Pokemon I switch around with, so it's taken a lot of time doing that (not to mention it's a pain in the ass to level Fire types, which I've been focusing on).

Though this reminds me that my card needs updating.

Oh yeah? I'll definitely keep that in mind then, since I've been pissed about how there hasn't been a good spot to level Fire-types since Eterna Forest way back in the 8-12 level range.

Still have a ways to go until I beat the Elite 4, though, so I'm still stuck with Iron whatever for now. I should just pray for Steelix, I guess.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

I think it's a lottery system, where after a certain number of steps the game draws a number that equates to either "egg" or "no egg". If it draws no egg, then you go through that number of steps again and the process repeats.

Steelix weren't that hard to find in Iron Mountain... It was the first thing I ran into when I met Riley in there.
I know, but they're not frequent enough to make them practical to level off of.
