So, Ness fans might like him. I could never manipulate projectiles in a practical fashion while fighting, though.

Marth isn't all that odd from the perspective of the Japanese audience. Roy was used mainly for promotional purposes (his game was released just a month or two after Melee).

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Kirby might be dropping down in viability a bit though, if he's not changing all that much. We'll see how the new copy moves work out, I guess *shrug*
I think they mean that he's not changing much in appearance. Remember the first trailer where all the characters go through their transformation? Kirby is the only one who really doesn't change at all (even Pikachu gets a tiny update).

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

My bet is that Ike is a default character that's used to unlock Marth. Roy will be a no-show.

I knew Monday's update wouldn't be able to follow the Emissary's act, but I was hoping for something a bit more interesting. Ike's Final Smash or some such.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Oh wow, I thought this was just an Assist Trophy when I saw it. I can't even imagine what it'd be like to play as this guy.

Very surprising update. Easily a bigger surprise than Ike.

They actually haven't shown a single pokemon from the fourth generation. I wonder why.

Today's update was the theme for Smashville; Go K.K. Rider!. I'm digging it.

Quote:
Many Animal Crossing songs are pretty serene, so there are a lot of songs that aren’t very suited to a fighting game. What to do, what to do...?

Then there’s this arrangement. As I sit and enjoy this song, it reminds me of one phrase in particular...

"Heroes always arrive late."
I... what?

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Oh, so that was also tonight's?

Okay, then. So, Yoshi's got his wings from Super Mario World back. Pretty cool.

Holy shit, an update of awesome.

Also some stuff about the direction you press when performing special moves.

I'm happy about Mario's special move changes because that almost assuredly means Luigi'll be packin' Poltergust 3000. Fuck yeah.

I'm all for GBA Fire Emblem references and stuff, but Lyn's character model looks pretty crummy.

Oh well. Maybe tonight means Hector.

They're usually pretty good Strategy-RPGs. They were better when they were really hard, though.

But I'm not sure why people go nuts for them over other good games in the genre as well. Might have something to do with its relation to Advance Wars.

You need to be finding a Wii soon, because it's going to be absolutely impossible once the rabid holiday shoppers come out to look for them.

Co-Op looks alright. I'm sure me and my Smash brothers will get some use out of it.

...I see.

It's funny. I can look back on a life of achievement, on challenges met, competitors bested, obstacles overcome. What... What makes a man, GFF? Is it... is it, being prepared to do the right thing? Whatever the price? Isn't that what makes a man?

Metallic birds? Well, I would say Skarmory, but the colors don't make any sense.

Must be Latios and Latias.

Yeah, but he has floating capabilities like Kirby's. I'd expect some kind of severely nerfed float for Dedede.

Kirby could flap, what-- six or so times? I'd expect the King to flap about twice.

That theme is called Together, We Ride!. Eh, it was alright, but it felt weird that the Fire Emblem recruitment song would play when I'm going off to whoop someone's ass. I hated the synthy trumpets too, so I think I could get used to this new Fire Emblem battle theme.

Eh, that doesn't work when some characters fall into the non-default color schemes (Mario and red, for example). I figure it'll be pretty random, like Melee.

Golden Sun is Nintendo; Camelot in specific. I guess you could mean Golden Axe, but that game didn't have any unique characters to speak of.

Don't expect too many more character updates, to be honest. I figure most of them from here on out will be confirmations of older characters.

If there was a yellow team, then that would make it four individual teams fighting against each other. And team-play free-for-all is nonsensical and redundant, seeing as we already have free-for-alls in regular matches. Three teams are all you need:

3 vs. 1
2 vs. 2
1 vs. 2 vs. 1

How ya doing, buddy?

I'm not even going to bother with that preorder, just because there's no chance in hell Wal-Mart will honor that. They'll simply send out emails telling preorderers that it was a glitch and that they have the option of paying the real price or receiving a full refund.

You know, I've never played Pikmin, but Captain Olimar is quickly becoming one of the more interesting newcomers. Aside from Ike, I'd say I'm most excited to try him out. Sounds like he might be more trouble than he's worth in some stages though, should you be stuck in an area that doesn't let your preferred Pikmin pop up as often as you'd like.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
