And I'm just the opposite of russ. I have a 360, PS3, and a Wii, and my PS3 is pretty much the only machine I use. I bought the 360 for Mass Effect which is coming out for the PC today and the Wii...well I'm giving that away to my mother.
I think it boils down to this -- are you a Halo/Ninja Gaiden fan? Get a 360. Are you a Metal Gear Solid/Final Fantasy fan? Get a PS3. Jam it back in, in the dark. I don't know about the codecs, but yeah the PS3 has a wireless network adapter built-in, whereas you're gonna throw down another $100 to get that same setup on your 360.

To each his own is the ultimate answer here russ. You like the 360 controller, which I'm not saying is bad either, but I prefer the Dual Shock 3.
