I'm looking into getting a credit card myself. I'm gonna go to my bank Thursday and talk to them about it. The plan is to get my first credit card through my bank, so if any problems arise or I have a question about it, I've already got some establishment with them, i.e. my checking account.
I'm 25, and haven't established any credit yet, save for the bills I pay. The "best" bill I have, which gives me the highest credit score, is my student loan repayments. I'm like, 4 months ahead of schedule. I haven't actually checked my credit score yet though, so I'm really in the dark. I do know that having no credit is worse than having bad credit.  Jam it back in, in the dark.
