Does the Xbox 360 look alright on standard definition TVs?
I was thinking of picking one up to play Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter earlier than the PC release but I just have a (large) SD-tv in my room. Jam it back in, in the dark.

He could try renting out a 360 game for it to test if the games still work.

My 360 is just a week old and I haven't had problems after the update. So I guess it's the first batch that's affected.

We're talking about generations in terms of manufacturing cycles, not 360s with new features or anything. Microsoft has no reason to announce the former.
