Meteor Showers
The 2007 peak of the Perseid meteorshower [sic].
So, this weekend is the peak of the Perseid meteor shower. I'm planning on finding a nice, dark field, bringing some hot chocolate, and watching it. Anyone else planning on seeing shooting stars this weekend? Have you been out viewing meteor showers before? Back in my undergraduate years, my friends and I climbed out onto the roof of their apartment, lie back, and watch the Leonid meteor showers. It was awesome - aside from the small ones, we saw a couple of real fireballs! Jam it back in, in the dark.
