I feel it depends on the context and if the words have been accepted in mainstream English. Words like sushi sound fine because they're already in vernacular speech.
In other words, I'd feel equally stupid if I said "Oh, that girl is so kawaii" as if I said "Oh, this little rice cake with a piddly piece of raw fish is so delicious dabbed with that spicy greenish horseradish paste." Jam it back in, in the dark. |
