I'm alternating between two games right now: Innocent Life: A futuristic Harvest Moon (PSP) and Baldur's Gate (PC).
Innocent Life:
I don't know, it's really nothing new compared to all the other Harvest Moons. You prepare soil, plant seeds and pick vegetables just like in the predecessors. Almost only the surface has changed, which is a bit disappointing. It's very repetetive, but it suits well for traveling and such. I thought I'd try a full year before I decide to quit or not. I think I liked the original Harvest Moon for the SNES better, in all it's simpleness.
Baldur's Gate:
I never did come aroud to finishing this game way back when, but I at least got as far as Baldur's Gate before I just stopped playing. I don't know, I think it has a little too much trial & error for my tastes, and I'm not very fond of the dialogue boxes either. They should have thought of a better way to move the story forward imo.
About the trial & error: It reminds me a bit about Tomb Raider. Totally different game, I know, but the concept is the same. You walk into a new area, there are monsters there that you try to fight, you die horribly. In Tomb Raider, you die a lot(at least I did) from falling down cliffs and such, thus the t&e.
Anyways, back to BG: I don't see what all the fuss is about and I didn't back then either, but it is enjoyable at times and this time around I'm trying it in another fashion than I did back then (chaotic evil necromancer ftw!). Maybe I'll get around to finishing it this time.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
