Living outside the US, I'm never able to see the episodes live, but boy am I glad that I don't have to worry about commercials.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Agreed. Good ep.

Spoiler:
I wasn't really before, but now I'm really interested in Candace's (shapeshifter/power of illusion) background. She revealed that what she "actually" looks like isn't what she ACTUALLY looks like. I think she mentioned that she was picked on or something and that all people do is fight each other. I'm thinking maybe she was ugly or fat or disfigured before she realized her power, and now uses her power to look "normal". I'd like to know more about her, but unfortunately there's one more episode left, and I highly doubt they'll use up some of it to reveal Candace's past.
Spoiler:
There's always the possibility that Sylar gets to her. If Sylar kills her she'll most likely revert to her true form.

Spoiler:

Side note: Was anyone else bothered by the fact that Hiro learned how to use the sword in such a short time? I theorized that he would actually go back in time to master the sword from that samurai he read about as a kid, and then return to his time without actually losing any time, but that theory was debunked in this episode. I also think that Ando is going to get himself killed, and Hiro won't be able to stop it.
Spoiler:

I think Hiro's father represents the "dragon" in the kensei story. His power may be that he can teach others to learn his skills and/or aquire his knowledge extremely fast. There's also the possibility that he can control time, like Hiro, and manipulated it in some way so that an eternity went by in a very short time.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Good finale, I'm definitely watching next season.

About the end and Peter's powers:
Spoiler:
I kinda always thought of the possibility to just fly away and explode far, far up in the sky instead of doing it in the city. It was just too obvious and I was kinda hoping that they would solve it some other way. Peter already had the power of flight since it was one of the first abilities he "stole", but it turns out that his brother was there to save him in the end after all.

This brings me up to a theory, or rather, a question, about Peter's powers:

Is Peter able to use more than one power at once? If he isn't, that would explain why he didn't fly away by himself. Has he ever used more than one ability at a time? I don't remember...

Spoiler:
Most of us were right, she WAS fat. In fact, she was a fat goth/alternative/punk girl with bad acne. And her original name was Betty.

It also means that maybe she can still retain the illusion when she's unconscious, or maybe she wasn't fully knocked out, or maybe she got so used to the disguise its just attached to her no matter what happens.
Spoiler:
Or maybe NBC just didn't want to hire another actor at the time. :P

I was speaking idiomatically.

Just thought I'd revive the thread with a little trailer for season two:

http://www.youtube.com/v/5aSzp5fUZrs
(someone please teach me how to embed this)

Dunno if it has been posted before, but whatever. This primetime trailer can also be found on the NBC website, but since not all of us live in the US, I thought I'd post one from youtube instead.

Not much is revealed, but it answers a big question that's been on most people's lips since the grand finale of season one:

"Is Sylar alive?"

The answer is:

Spoiler:
Yup, it sure seems like it. From the looks of it, he'll have an encounter with Candice, too.

The first episode of season two is due to air september 24th.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Sylar's continued existence isn't that big of a secret. Tim Kring, following the conclusion of Season One, openly admitted that Sylar was originally supposed to die but turned out to be way to popular. Kring said that we should expect Sylar to return and with even more tricks (implying that he's stolen new powers).

Of course, Molly Walker made reference to a dark presence that could find her if she even thought about it, so that's likely to become the new villain this season.
Sure, we all knew he was coming back, but this is actual footage proving it. Besides, not everyone has been following the news around Heroes since the end of season one (I know I haven't). Just thought I'd share what I found.

Rather than "the" new villain, there's always the possibility of him/her/it only being "a" new villain, meaning there might be multiple main villains this time around.

Somehow, I just got the feeling that the "dark presence" isn't human. Dunno, it's just a hunch.
