Everyday, but sometimes when we're out at sea due to various conditions I've had to go several days without showering. It's not like I have anyone to impress, but it does become a comfort issue, sometimes.
To elaborate on that: I live in a berthing with like 70 other dudes, we're all dirty and smelly from working a 24-hour-7-day-a-week schedule. We shower when there's water, but time can also be a factor. If I have to choose between showering and eating or showering and sleeping, I'm going to go with eating or sleeping. When I'm not at sea, though, everyday, without fail. Jam it back in, in the dark.  Posting without content since 2002. |
