Imagine for a moment that the world you live in has been changing faster than you have been able to keep up with; you're middle-aged now, and it's been progressing at this pace since you were almost an infant.
You have children, who are in high school/ready for college. For most of their lives you've been bewildered by the pace at which their world changes, which is exponential compared to what you grew up with. When you were in school, you weren't worried about gun-violence, over-populated school districts or many of the changing social pressures of today. How well do you think you'd be able to relate to your children? Jam it back in, in the dark.  Posting without content since 2002. |
