ooh lookie, my first thread

I did a quick search through the forum to see if there was a thread about this series yet but to my surprise there wasn't, so I figured I'd make one. ( I wouldn't be surprised to hear that a Sailor Moon thread existed in a previous version of the board, but I'm a newbie still, so... ^^; )

Anyway, I made a post in my ChocoJournal last night that mentioned Sailor Moon and got quite a few comments about it, so I know other fans are here. :3 For those fans, here are a few questions to get a discussion going (my answers under spoiler tags):

- Which do you prefer, the anime or manga? Why?

I liked the anime more, actually. Probably because I grew up with it as opposed to the manga. I liked seeing everything in action. Besides, Ail and Ann weren't in the manga.

- Who is your favorite senshi? Why?

Spoiler:

Sailor Mars. I like fire, and I liked her personality the best out of all of them. I thought her little spats with Usagi were funny too. I also like Venus, mainly for comedic relief, and Saturn because she had a frail appearance much like I do. Besides, you can't say her powers didn't kick butt. :x

- Least favorite? Why?

Spoiler:

Chibimoon got on my nerves sometimes but overall I didn't hate her. I can't say I really have a least favorite.

- Favorite season? Why?

Spoiler:

S. Eudial's my favorite villain and the whole Mistress 9 thing was interesting. And this season didn't revolve around Chibimoon like another did.. *cough* Also, Uranus and Neptune first appear here.

I think that's enough for now. I may ask more questions if this thread becomes successful.

Oh, I made my answers go under spoiler tags so my post didn't take up too much room. XD; Sorry for the confusion.

Shenlon - ever see the subtitled version? It's quite different from the dubbed. Usagi's still kind of annoying though.

chato - I haven't seen any of Stars, mainly because it isn't licensed in the US and I never bothered to buy any fansubs. One of these days I will see it though. (Even though I know pretty much the whole story anyway. Heh.) Mimete killed Eudial so she was my least favorite of the Witches 5.

The H&M being cousins thing was pretty lame. I still think it was obvious they were more than that in the dub because not -everything- was taken out. I think one episode had Michiru holding Haruka's hand and gazing into her eyes and that was unedited. And I think another reason why Stars won't be dubbed is because of the whole Starlights thing. Plus, the last episode has some nudity.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Yeah, I thought Mercury's attacks were pretty funny. XD I mean, which is more threatening: an ocean literally rushing towards you or some bubbles? She was helpful in battle sometimes though.. and for some reason, she kicked butt in the Mortal Kombatesque videogames.

Allen and Eve? You mean Alan and Ann, right? :x

I loved Sailor Moon's attacks, only because she took like 10 minutes to perform them.

Anyway, how do you all feel about Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon? I like it, though I wish it was longer. Dark Mercury > regular Mercury anyday.
