Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog

I'm sure at least some of you have heard of this, but for those who haven't... Joss Whedon's project from during the writer's strike went live yesterday with Act I. Act II comes tomorrow, then Act III on Saturday. Sunday night it will all disappear... At least until it shows up on DVD at some point in the future with all the regular-type extras. It's available on the website, streamed, or for $1.99 an act on the iTunes Store.

From Joss Whedon, the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly, comes Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. Neil Patrick Harris stars as Dr Horrible, an aspiring super-villain, whose attempts at vaillainy are constantly thwarted by his nemesis, the heroic Captain Hammer (Nathan Fillon). He must take his efforts to the next level in order to get into the Evil League of Evil while also mustering the courage to talk to Penny (Felicia Day), the girl at the laundromat. And it's a musical.

So far, it really reminds me of Once More, With Feeling, the musical episode from Buffy. It's great so far.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I was able to stream it well enough, but I grabbed it on iTunes anyway, seeing as the streamed versions are going to vanish after this weekend. This way I'll get to keep them for whatever.

I figured that even by the week's end the strain on their website won't really go away either, so it might be better to grab it from iTunes if you can spare the $6.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

The first episode was 13-something minutes. I assume they'll all be about that length.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
