I've always loved the Tales series, since playing Phantasia on the SNES [via emulator, sadly], I think. Actually, that's a lie. I think I played Destiny on PSX first. Either way, I grew to love the Tales series.
With a slight disdain for Legendia. It just didn't grab me like the others did. Anyway, Vesperia looks fantastic. Not having a 360 kind of sucks in that regard, as it's supposed to be released in August. Maybe somebody will buy me on for my birthday [which is the week before] and I'll get lucky. Heh. So, not having a 360, I'd still like to preview the music that everyone's been bashing. Is it really that bad? Personally, I think Sakuraba's [sp?] Tales music sounds very similar from game to game... Is it any different this time around? Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Guh. Buying levels and Gald? No thanks.
It would be amusing to see something like... If someone DOES buy [for example] a bunch of levels, that it displays publicly on their profile or something. A big, glaring 'I CHEATED BUY PAYING MONEY ON THIS GAME' stuck somewhere for everyone to see. ![]() There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Hopefully you're right, Skills, cause I can't actually make it out to an EB until Friday. I mean, if they ship the CEs a bit later, hopefully they'll be in by then, and hopefully they haven't sold out by the time I get there.
In any case, if they don't have it, I'll probably shop around a bit to see if other stores do. If not, I'll probably just settle for the regular edition. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Premium Edition GET!
I think I got the last copy in the city. I checked ALL OVER and finally made it to EB, and saw two left in the case. There was a long line-up, and there was one guy 4 or 5 ahead of me that bought one. I was lucky enough to get the last one, though. They had a bunch of the Standard Edition, but I wanted the Special one. I probably won't get to play until tomorrow, though. My brother is hogging the TV. D: I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Glad to see that the XBL content doesn't involve level-buying. Not yet, anyway. I grabbed the free packs for the starter items and skills, though. Not sure if I'm going to use them, but I downloaded them just in case.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
Yuri gets a decent skill [hp+200] in his skill package, but other than that they seem pretty trivial.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I made the mistake of letting my brother rent Devil May Cry 4 yesterday... I probably won't be able to touch Vesperia for a week.
...Well, it IS my console, so I'll just kick him off after a while. ![]() Anyway, I just got Rita, and I'm on my way to the ruins. I actually explored a little before going to Aspio, so I've been to the ruins already, but there wasn't really anything there. I guess I need Rita to do whatever it is I need to do there. I'm thoroughly enjoying the game so far, though. FELIPE NO |
I just left Ehmead Hill, and yeah. That wolf boss beat me down the first time. I tried again right away though, and managed to take him down. Only level 14-15 too, I think. A few close calls, but I got it.
Also, I assume the Secret Mission Achievements are listed in order? If so, I've got all three so far. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
I mean, do the secret missions appear in order by number in the game? I won't run into say, secret mission 7 before secret mission 6?
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
The Tales Series Battle Arrange Tracks is a totally different CD from what you get in the LE. You get the 'Tales 10th Anniversary Soundtrack Vol. 1', which is mostly music from Vesperia, but has tracks from Phantasia, Destiny, Symphonia, and Abyss as well.
I can make a rip of it in the morning when I'm not so tired, and I know what I'm actually doing. I'll let you know when it's done. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Yep. I've just ripped it, and I was lucky enough that it was pre-tagged. The only thing missing was the album art, so I grabbed your CD scan from VGMdb, Lace. Saves me from scanning it myself. Hope you don't mind.
Anyway, for those who didn't get the LE and want the extra soundtrack, check out my journal. I don't want to derail the thread with it. > link This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
I checked out the other two fonts, and... Well, I didn't like the B-font at all, and found the C-font to be too big for my liking. I just stuck with the default one.
As for cooking--I know you can get new recipes by being proficient and such, but does it have to be a specific character, or can you use any of them? Most amazing jew boots |
Ouch. I knew about the cooking titles, so I've been only cooking with Yuri. I had a feeling I should've mixed it up a little. Damn.

Also, it would nice to get the new stuff as DLC, but as stated above, it probably wouldn't be that easy, especially if it plays with the actual story. I think. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
