I've always sort of had a similar issue with my shins. I don't exactly know why [doctors can't figure it out either,] but I have kind of a 'reduced sensation' in my shins. I can feel heat, touch, pretty much everything... but if I were to put something cold there, say an icepack, I wouldn't feel the cold at all. It's really strange. The backs of my legs however, feel the cold. So sometimes, my shins get this sort of tingly feeling.
I can't stand when someone touches my shins; it just feels strange to me. I've always had to have a pillow between my legs when I sleep too, cause even just the feeling of them touching each other is weird. Body pillows ftw anyway. Heh.
On a sidenote, I've never understood the term 'pins and needles'. I mean, I know what it's SUPPOSED to mean... The tingly feeling when your limbs fall asleep. But... if you think about it, if someone were sticking your foot with 'pins and needles', it would hurt. I would think so, anyway. Just thought I'd toss that out there.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
