[Wii] Virtual Console & WiiWare Games - Doing wonders for illegal emulation since 2007

HELLS YES. Link to the Past will be visiting my Wii soon.

Now all Nintendo needs to do is release Mario RPG and Super Metroid. As well a few choice N64 titles. Then I'll be happy.

Not sure if this is news to many, but the latest NP issue says that Paper Mario [64] will be released on VC soon. Something else to look forward to, at least.

I got a Classic Controller the other day, solely because I was buying Super Metroid and Paper Mario. I'll probably use it for other VC games now that I have it, mainly for two reasons: Wireless [my setup isn't really suitable to play games unless I have an extension cord for a GC controller,] and... Well, as Chaotic said, the GC controller pad sucks, and the button scheme can get pretty annoying.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

QFT. I bought Super Metroid even though I have the cart. I didn't get any of the Zelda games though, cause I own them way too many times already... Though I'll probably get Link to the Past anyway, and SMRPG when it comes out. Instead of dragging out the SNES again, y'know?

Speaking of which... Let's say that I have my friend has a soft-modded Wii and various VC/Wiiware releases that can be installed via Homebrew Channel and wad manager. How do you get out-of-region games to actually play?

Aha, thanks! I tried installing Majora's Mask, and it tells me that it can't play that channel. I wasn't sure if there was some other step in there that I had to take. I'll give that a try anyway.

OH HAY Majora's Mask. I tried using freethewads on the [E] version and while it worked the sound in the game actually came out really weird. I'll just wait for a release of the NA version now. Assuming it's not out already.

No, it sounded like one of the audio tracks was off by a few milliseconds, creating a really odd reverb-type 'effect'. It was probably cause it was a PAL VC game. I picked up the NTSC version anyway though, cause I've been wanting to play it again, and a friend of mine has my Zelda GC discs.

Speaking of which, time to go find his Facebook page and track him down...
