Could you manage your own money?

Whew guys, just wondering, my family, for some unknown, or perhaps genetic reason, spending money like water. I, in contrary, save more and spend less compared to my mom and my sis. They are very horrible on managing their own financial plan, and it's uncommon if they borrow my money by the end of the month.

Of course, to prevent from being broke, I constantly lie about the amount of money I have in my account. I don't mean to be a mean person, but hey, I gotta save for the sake of my butt and my future, and also, I'm still in college =(.

Anyway, do you have the same experience? Is there time when you are forced to give up your saving only because your family member, they spend money like water and couldn't manage their own money and credit cards?
