Music: How long does it take before you get fed up?

Just wondering... when you listening a music, how long it takes before you are really fed up with 'em and dont want to listen it anymore?

I only could stand most of western music from MTV just once before getting bored, probably with some exceptions toward some real good songs. For JPop, it usually takes around 4-5 or more before I stop listening them.

For final fantasy music... I remember listening it around 8 times or more before I'm really getting bored to Uematsu's music. Now I dont want to listen them again as I used to be. O_o;

Since I prefer classical/instrumental music, I could stand them around 30 times or more before I need to break (such as listening other genres, finding new music, etc). How about you? How long it takes before you getting bored and fed up with certain music? Also, is there any logical explanation to explain our preferences over "fed up with music"?

EDIT: I also notice that I couldnt stand music that uses natural sounds such as water and birds sounds after I found out their repeat pattern. Gawd

Jam it back in, in the dark.
You all think you got good deals, huh? Ha! You frugal and observant shoppers have more to learn.

None of that approaches this:

The Mr. Methane CD, purchased over ebay for .01¢. Yeah, free shipping. This guy performs all sorts of neat stuff, including the doot doot, doot doot from the Blue Danube.

Allow me to share a track from this CD. Here ya go.
I think he should have paid you .01¢ instead.

Were you radio DJ? well, it's understandable if you are getting bored to mainstream music just in a day because there are 23 times same request around. O_O;

I rarely listen radio though, I dont have any interest to listen mainstream music at all. Only classic or jazz will do because they people rarely request certain songs (and their popularity here is close to non-existant).

EDIT: btw, the 2nd last line of your sig is <3

There's nowhere I can't reach.
