My dvd writer couldnt work on usb 2.0
Just like I said earlier, I just have bought myself a pioneer DVD R-111, it's primarily used for pc, but since I only have laptop, I connect it with USB 2.0 to IDE, and the problem comes when the drive wont write anything at all.
I'm using CDburner XP pro, it eventually give me message that there is an error on SCSI I/O or something like that, I wonder what happened here. Could it be the DVD writer is a defect, or perhaps, my USB to IDE cable worn out already? My friend said that the crash of my hdd earlier probably also caused by this cable. Could someone help me out? What should I do in this situation? Jam it back in, in the dark.

Now this is very surprising, I used my usb 1.1 port today and eventually, it's worked? ?__?;
Could someone give me explanation about this? Why this writer doesnt work in mys usb 2.0 port (via pcmcia) but actually worked in usb 1.1? It's really a pain to wait one half hour only to burn a 4,3 gb DVD. >_< This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
