well isint this common ? the size upon adding and what windows shows arent the same. The missing hdd space can be used for a whole lot of purpose like virtual memory etc.
My C volume is 20 Gigs. Acc to windows free space = 2.96 GB But when i select all files and see properties it shows only 13.5 GB So 13.5 + 2.96 = ~~16.5 GB 20-16.5 = 3.5 GB In virtual memory for C: i have given minimum as 1500 mb and max as 2500 mb. SO i think windows is reserving 2.5 gb of space from the c:. Jam it back in, in the dark.
