Anyone know how to get Wormadam's other forms? As far as I know, you simply go to the correct place and level it up. Problem is, I tried that (going down into Galactic HQ's warehouse/basement) and gave my level 19 female Burmy a rare candy and... it turned into the grass form.

What gives?
Burmy has to participate in a battle at the ideal environment before evolving. Using a Rare Candy alone won't do anything to change its form.

I'm guessing the Galactic Grunts have all departed at this point. However, the factory next to Eterna Forest should have some wild Pokemon for your Burmy to battle with.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Bah, I checked Fuego Ironworks (I couldn't remember its name), and I seem to be mistaken about Fuego Ironworks itself being inhabited by wild Pokemon. I remember a few battles from inside because of a couple of Engineers that I had to face. Sorry about that. >_>

Anyway, fighting in a cave will change Burmy's form into that which will net you a Bug/Ground Wormadam.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I saw your post about two minutes ago, but I don't think I edited in time. I'll re-post what I stated in case you missed it.

I just Googled up the best way to get a Steel Wormadam. Burmy has to battle inside a building, but all you have to do is use it in battle against the person/people who show up daily at the Jubilife TV Station next to where the Loto Tickets are given away. Every day there's someone new who wants to battle, and the Pokemon all have fairly low levels. I haven't tried it myself, but hopefully this works!

How ya doing, buddy?

I'll be down for the Sunny Park Tourney since I already have five Pokemon ready to go after taking on PBR's Sunny Park. Hopefully, the sixth one I'm breeding shouldn't take too long.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I'm hardly competitive by any means either (pseudo-Gym Leader theme here), so I'd be down for any sort of casual play. I'd just need some time to check which Pokemon in my PC need leveling up.

Wow, I need to dust off my Pearl cartridge and get right back to breeding Natus. I don't think I've even started with getting parents before I wound up forgetting about it.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

A little bump here, but I also had a question or two and was hoping to get some more trading going as I'm giving some more thought on a team. Which brings up a question: is there really any downside to training a Pokemon you didn't catch/hatch, aside from "Oh, it's not originally yours"?
The only differences that a traded Pokemon has from an original trainer's Pokemon are the 50% extra experience points and the nickname assigned to it (you can't change a Pokemon's nickname if it isn't yours). The technical stuff like IV's, EV's, etc. shouldn't be affected. If somebody knows of something else that is affected, feel free to correct me.

They'd still form a strategy against me fairly easy when they see the majority of my choices are Poison Pokemon.
That never really stopped me from entering with a team consisting of Flying-types. Almost everyone had an answer to my team, but it was fun trying to act as a psuedo Gym Leader in some of the rounds. Nothing was at risk anyway.

I suppose I could mention I took third, but, uh, most of the leading players dropped at that point.

Also, regarding WiFi, I'm guessing it wouldn't be somehow against the rules to compete over Pokemon Battle Revolution if both players had a copy. I almost completely forgot about it, and I'd like to try it out again if possible.

EDIT: I'd be interested in a single-type tourney. I already have the team prepared.

Well, it looks like they've revealed Shaymin's second form. It's not all that, looks like a white Chikorita/Bulbasaur crossed with Quilava. All that's left now is Regigigas' Sky form. After that? Probably just new screens revealed periodically.

This Shaymin has been confirmed to be a hoax. Serebii.net has the report on the front page, but I can't directly link to the news article without simply linking to the main page. I've provided other links instead!

Link.
Some other link.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Lucky Eggs allow a Pokemon who holds it to gain 1.5 times the experience it normally would.

Definitely cuts down on the grinding time.

Thanks a lot. Sheesh, I feel like such a noob with all of my questions.

Anyway, I've encountered a problem. My Vaporeon is level 70, I EV trained it in SP ATK, and it gains +3 SP ATK per level. Problem: It's at 220 SP ATK now. Meaning, it will hit the max SP ATK before Level 100.
Slow down there. 255 isn't the absolute maximum Sp. Atk. for any Pokemon, 999 is (even though it's impossible to reach via legal means). As for good websites with statistics on each Pokemon, Serebii.net and Marriland.com are decent places to start.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I was thinking of using this technique to get a semi-legit Mew, though I can't find my Red/Blue/Yellow, so I dunno if buying a new one is worth it when I can just buy a device to get Mew like that, though getting a hacked Pokemon... dunno how that'll look, even if I give it the same IVs as my starter (assuming that's possible).
Generic Badass is right, even if you somehow get Mew from the Red/Blue/Yellow games, it can't be transferred into the newer games. Effort Values were calculated in a completely different manner back in those days than in the current games. Back then, you could gain as many Effort Points as possible to get maximum stats in any category, unlike the current generations' 510 total EV limit.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
