I have made many time consuming searches for M.U.G.E.N. characters and stages. I've made it my priority number one to find all Guilty Gear X/XX characters. So far I have:

As in return I will upload I-no, Dizzy, and Testament on filefront (it seems much easier for me, it's a free download site and you don't have to make an account to download) And yes I've heard of the great Mimi, it is almost certain mystery why her/his site was shutdown. I will reply once more with the link when I have finished uploading them. Although the search for Bridget, jam, and Baiken continues... the little rascals. D:< I bid sorryness to SOLDIER due to the fact I have to use filefront, filefront is great so you shouldn't worry too much.

Ionce had a similar problem...You must go into your control panel and goto "sounds and audio devices". From there click on "Advanced" then click on the tab "Performance". Set the Hardware acceleration to none and click apply or ok. It should be fixed by then. Oh and make sure winmugen is closed when you do this. If this does not work then you'll have to get a new driver for "no_limit_winmugen_patch" but it should work.

I should investigate on how to make characters. I've seen character works that were actually rip-offed from anime screenshots and I've seen many hand drawn as well. I know it's not as simple as it sounds though.. I'm a decent artist myself.

It must be the screenpack if it's crashing and all. Word of advice: not all screenpacks work. I don't think the sound has anything to do with the screenpack and most of the oens that do work have their own drivers.

I'm not a fan of laptops and I don't know too much about them, but maybe its your hard drive, mugen does create cache files and that could take up some space, let alone the files you add (sound,stages,chars,screenpacks). Laptopts are known for their lack of proper space well not most of them but PCs are more advanced in the hard drive area. My advice: delete files that serve no purpose from your harddrive.

I have been away for one day and htis thread has already reached 3 pages more. Anyway I found a way to make GGXX characters (and some others as well) look non pixely/mushy. (this doesn't work on all ggxx characters depends on who made it and how they ripped it) You need to go in your "mugen.cfg" which is in "no_limit_winmugen_patch\data" and go down to the "[Video Win]" section. If you have mugen windowed, make sure your width is 640 and height is 480 (or if youve set MUGEN to befullscreened this doesnt matter) Make sure stretch = 1. Change your DoubleRes to 4 if it is 0 or anything else so it should be "DoubleRes = 4" This only affects some (not all of them) characters but you can tell when it affects the ggxx characters.

I recommend megaupload rather than rapidshare.

That's spiderman with the alien symbiote (it later went on eddie brock who is now venom). Your not asking too much srsly, anyone who has the right programs can do this.

Yeah I have a good lifebar that needs your settings to be "doubleres = 4"
and has the specialbar just below the lifebar and has great sounds. It's from Capcom vs. SNK 2 heres a pic

In case you dont know, all you have to do is extract the lifebar to your data folder, open your screenpack's "system.def" and change "fight = whatever" to "fight = life_cvs2/fight.def"

It has special bar right under lifebar.

Lifebar editing is quite easy, basicly what you'll have to do is to change the resolution of the font, simply make it two times bigger. Programs like Photoshop (to resize the file) and Font Editor to adjust the changes to the font file will be useful.

I'll have to go in favor of vboy there's nothing wrong with giving a link to a site that warehouses, they have pretty sweet characters too. The down side of the site is that it's server must be in another country since it takes about 40 minutes to download 1.5 megabytes in my area. I can see what wooshaQ is tyring to say but she is sortof exacerbating things.

you dont need to use rapidshare to upload characters... use megaupload.com or filefront.com and that link someone sent before, theres one hyperlink that says "THIS IS ORDER SOL" but it goes directly to google.. =/

http://kaihokaitin.hp.infoseek.co.jp/ has Yuki Nagato of Haruhi fame, very neat NamcoXCapcom characters, and links to some interesting Rozen Maiden adaptations. I want Paula from earthbound though as in the screenshot.

There was also one compilation file you had to watch out for, I think it had to do with Fray's page or something. It'd be a rar which had a bunch of GG Slash characters and some other characters like Shiki, but they were all very buggy and would lock up the controls sometimes or at the very least cause a delay in controls. I had to delete some of the neat characters (Requiem Ino, Order Sol) after putting lots of them in because they'd bug up especially when they were custom stated.

I could fix them, or atleast try... but i cant find the characters D:<
