I always shower at least once a day in the morning, but often enough I'll shower in the evening too since I find it relaxing. If my allergies are really bad or if I'm super stressed, I might even do it three times, and a couple of times I've done it four times! My hair is like a rat's nest if I don't wash and dry it every day.
When my family lived in Cuba, it was the custom to shower before every meal and before going out in public or meeting people. If visitors came and you hadn't showered recently, you'd excuse yourself and go take a quick one while they sat in the living room. Jam it back in, in the dark.
