DONE.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
The only reason I can conclude why people hate Secret of Evermore would be that it is the scapegoat for Seiken Densetsu 3 never making it over to the states. That's about it.

You could just install the Homebrew Channel and forget the Virtual Console ever existed. No mod chips required. Takes under a minute. You just need a computer to transfer a few things to an SD card. Easiest thing ever.

I stopped caring a long time ago. I've spent probably over 200 bucks on Virtual Console crap (And on games I already own too) so it's not like I haven't given them any money for their overpriced roms at all now is it? Basically unless something really cool shows up on the VC I won't be buying anything from it until they release Earthbound. Nintendo made me lose interest in supporting the VC a very long time ago with their piss poor releases. The amount of effort it takes them to fit the game data into an emulation container along with a manual is so minimal it's not even funny. There really isn't an excuse for the little amount of games we get nor the little quality that is in each release per week. It's not like they even offer the incentive of translating foreign games that never made it over here (they barely translate menus), or add online multiplayer or additional levels and such that you find in XBLA. So yes, unless you want to get Nintendo's attention in buying one particular title along with a bunch of people be it Earthbound or Sin & Punishment or whatever I'd advise using the Homebrew Channel instead and spending your money in much better places. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Dunno but I've got Starfox and Yoshi's Island running on MY Wii via snes9x.

Just so you know, the Homebrew Channel still works after upgrading to firmware 3.3 and they have come out with a new Twilight Hack that is compatible with 3.3. I couldn't get the new 3.3 Twilight Hack to work with a firmware 3.1 Wii though so I used an older Twilight Hack on that particular Wii. The 3.3 compatible Twilight Hack wouldn't even show up on the SD card on that Wii. It was odd. I had to upgrade the firmware in order to connect online (well maybe you don't but I felt like testing it) and the Homebrew Channel still worked afterward. I'll have to do a few tests later today and see if the 3.3 compatible Twilight Hack shows up now.

It's as if every week Nintendo is reaffirming my decision to give them the middle finger and use the homebrew channel instead. What a fucking joke.
At least WiiWare has Megaman 9 to look forward to. Virtual Console? :laughs: This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
We get games months earlier and Pop! on Wiiware and you guys get games months later or not at all, some cool VC games a bit earlier, and all those Simple 2000 games.
I'm unsure if we're getting a better deal. MMMmmm... Simple 2000... I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |

Still waiting to chuck 7 bucks for Earthbound and then calling it quits.
FELIPE NO |
You know, it would be one thing if they actually did a full translation job that the points might be worth it but noooooooo.
But hey more Opa-Opa isn't a bad thing. Far from it. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
What are you talking about? The SNES emulator for the Wii is damn near perfect. Runs just about everything. It could use a few more features like cheat codes and stuff.

Replace that piece of shit some knob bundled for you. Just go to the wiibrew wiki and download the latest official build. It supports just about all controllers and every game full speed and up to fucking four players.

What's different between the Master System and Genesis versions of Sonic the Hedgehog?
How ya doing, buddy? |
Well that's nice. Does it feature a cast of unusual characters?

Maaaaan, I probably died on just about every other boss including the Hammer Bros. and Crocco. I had only watched friends play RPGs in the past, and before this game I'd only played Secret of Mana as the second player. So Super Mario RPG was in a sense MY very first RPG. Since I was new to how RPGs worked the game handed me my ass until I figured out how to grind and use a tiny bit of strategy.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
Don't feel too bad. I died like 8 times on Crocco before I figured him out or rather that I went and figured out the concept of grinding to level up. The tables then turned on Crocco. Oh how they turned.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
If you are new to RPGs and can't figure out some of the strategies and also initially suck at timed attacks then leveling up by grinding makes it much easier. Fuck you.
How ya doing, buddy? |
Shhh... your average consumer doesn't realize this. Stop pestering the profiteers, wvlfpvp.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Not gonna happen. They don't want any excuses to bring over Mother 3. Even at the cost of thousands of dollars of free money there is now precedent because of the success of Sin & Punishment on VC bringing about the release of its sequel.

Is that Sonichu?

I feel like I've asked this before but what is the difference between the Master System and Genesis versions of the Sonic games?
Most amazing jew boots |
Well, I meant besides that. I wanted to know if there were any fundamental changes to the game play, any levels and stuff missing, etc.
