I'm kind of on the fence with all three systems, actually. They all show at least some promise to me, but I still haven't been convinced beyond all doubt that any of them are worth buying, either. I don't really want to dedicate myself to buying one of the systems when two of them haven't even been released yet, either.
The PS3 has some really impressive hardware and flashy demos, but I still haven't seen any games that impress me enough to justify spending $600 on the system. For that much money, I could probably buy an Xbox 360 Premium, a couple of years of Xbox Live service, and some games, or buy a small army of DS games, or the HDTV set that I'd need to really enjoy the PS3's fancy graphics or Blu-Ray drive.
I'd really have to try a Wii out before I'd buy one. The controller IS a very interesting piece of hardware, and I give Nintendo lots of credit for trying something different and interesting, but it's still pretty odd...I'd have to at least get a feel for it before I'd decide on buying one.
The Xbox 360 is probably the most tempting of the three right now, but I still have some reservations about it. It is still a bit expensive, especially with Live service and $60 new games, and the fact that a lot of the system's appeal is based on a subscription-based online service is a bit off-putting. If Microsoft can cut the price on the system a bit, I'd probably buy one, though.
How ya doing, buddy?
