Vampire Hunter D (The Novel)

Has anyone here read the novel?

I found the translated version of the book in the library. I'm between midway and the end, and well... The imagery in this novel is rather well done. The book leaves you with only a few hints of detail to each character, only going into detail at the best moments. It leaves the audience something to imagine, rather than having the imagery set out the way the author sees fit.

For the few who do not know about Vampire Hunter D... yes, its about a guy named D, and he is a Vampire Hunter. The story is set in 12,090 AD, and of course, the world has been fucked over. He befriends Doris, an adolescent girl and Dan, a young, stereotypically annoying kid. Doris has been bitten by Count Lee, and hires D to kill off the Count. I'll leave the rest to you lot, I don't like to spoil a decent story.

Would you like this book? If you love a combination of sci-fi, apocalyptic times and horror, or find it intriguing, I suggest you go find a copy and give it a read. If you have seen the movie, go read it. Books usually tend to kick more ass than the movies anyhow.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Ah see, it wouldn't be in Animespot, this is only for discussion of the novel. The Vampire D movie came after the books

There's nowhere I can't reach.
