So they shifted all the good staff to the movie, and the production lasted for around a decade? Cause it kinda started sucking at around season 8 or 9.

Its the Simpsons movie. A show that's been going on for 20 years. It ran of out of plots ages ago.
I didn't care about the plot and just wanted to be entertained, which I was. I actually did feel a little teary eye at that one scene with Marge... Spoiler:
