Quick question about the Bazaar thing. Is it worth it to unlock every single new weapon/armor? I have no idea what the requirements are for the other items. And I don't want to miss any important item because I ran of loot to unlock it with.

Oh and the judge system is annoying as hell. In one of my missions, I couldn't deal more than 50 damage. And by golly, one of my character does a critical hit for 70 damage. how gay.
Aside from stealing or winning new equipment? I think using the Bazaar is something you kind of have to do. Unless you want to get through the game without learning anything beyond Fire, First-Aid and Cure. Lacerta already said it but the game does appears to be built so that the more commonly used loot will be available to you at a steady rate. Same goes for the more rare loot. And as always, the more you play the sidequests the more things you can unlock and learn.

I don't know if you do this too so here's a tip. You can easily get around a number of odd laws by reequipping your team. And if you have to, change their job class to better suit the situation. This of course can all be done when placing units on the battlefield, after the law is announced.

Also, these laws in A2 aren't that bad. At least not at the point I'm at. I think the worst law I've ran into was the one you mentioned. But I remembered just giving everyone weaker weapons and avoided direct sword strikes as much as possible (since they tend to do critical hits more often.)
Then again I'm only about 8 hours into the game. I can't wait for battles that use two or more laws at once .

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Yep, the Veteran title for General Training I is frustrating with that "No Miss" crap .

It took me three tries, too. First try, I thought having a Speed2 privilege would help but I soon found out what the fairies would do stop that. So I eventually missed despite attacking from behind every turn. Second try I actually ran out of time. There was one fairy left with less than 30HP which any of my mages could eliminate, argh.

So on my third try I realized I had to take a risk and use hard hitting moves like Beat Down or Moogle Rush to finish the fairies quickly. Also the Agility privilege helped, I think. Rose all my hit rates to 97% or so.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Am I the only one who likes the Bazaar? I get new loot all the time, so I get excited and check out the list. Look for a decent item description and the highest ranks I can make, then get started. Very enjoyable to me, even though Black and White Mage gear barely shows up.
Really? Maybe I just got lucky in the first 7 hours of the game. I managed to get the Flamewheel Rod, Healing Staff, Sleet Rod and a bunch of the elemental robes (holy, fire, ice, lightning) through the Bazaar. But I'm having the hardest time getting the required loot to make more small knives (I need one more thief action ability before I can use the ninja job class ;_;.)

As for liking the bazaar feature. I don't mind it, I think it's a slight step forward than what the last two tactics games did.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

...no rotating the map...
Haha, I actually found myself pressing the L and R buttons all the time to try and get a better view of the field. Only to be greatly disappointed every time .

Aside from that negative the only other one is the sheer rarity of getting into a random battle (not quest battles.) So far it has only happened to me twice *crap.* I've been getting random recruitments way more often. Mostly Nu Mou characters. Not that I mind~ I prefer mage job classes. Well, until I run into the classic No-Nu-Mou-Action-Abilities law.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Because of my staunch support for them way back in the beginning, the developers have rewarded me with not only playable Seeqs, but playable Seeqs who break any balance in gameplay A2 may have had. Fuck yeah, big pigs.
From what I've seen, I want one or five. At least that way I can finally make an entire team composed of Ninja and Pirates. I'm pretty sure it can't be any more broken than that :U.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Exactly my point. They get rid of in-game tutorials and still someone complains. I'll take the option of looking at the manual over mandatory in-game tutorials any day.

Level 25 now, just beat the Red King. Sequencer is a mean knightsword, and the description seems to indicate there's even more to it.
I'm an idiot for taking on the Red King at lv.18 .
Ended up using both of my eureka crystals and barely survived the red king's attacks every turn. Constant back attacks with White Monks and Hunter's Sonic Booms made it all possible. At least I got enough gil to pretty much buy whatever I want.
I'm not even going to take on the lv.55 king until I'm in the more advanced job classes. And I STILL lack the ninja, master monk and the scholar job classes.

Anyway, I'm currently at level 30~32. Learning all sorts of Arcane and Summoning magic type stuff. Physical fighters are currently a mixture of fusiliers, moogle knights, paladins, defenders, monks and fighters.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I didn't bother looking at the Red King quest's level until after I'd already accepted it, and tried it at level 10. That was a fairly one-sided fight. Surprisingly I managed to dish out about 100 damage first, but only thanks to Air Render's godly might and her accuracy apparently being terrible.
Wait, you beat her at level 10? Or did you only get to do 100 damage before getting horribly raped by doublecast? =o
If it's the first one, holy shit .

Today I finally got some new knives, Swordbreaker and two others. Learned Loot Levels 2 and 3 for Luso and Leech for my Ranger, so I just stole some nice stuff off of the past few enemies. Now I'm noticing that my knuckle weapon selection is crap-- best I have is Kaiser Knuckle.
Bah! I JUST got a new knife with a thief ability earlier today. Too bad the ability requires 550 points to be mastered. To make matters worse it nearly broke my bank, damn thing costs over 10,000 gil, lawl.

Where are these Seeq niggers at. I'm at around 30 hours 60+ quests and haven't seen one yet.

Lollin at the Clan Trails though. I forgot all about them while I was around questing, having done 3 near the beginning, and now that I had a few moments I just went back and did around 5 or so, including two of the combination ones.

"Kill two monsters in two rounds."
"Aight."
:: one hit kill::
:: one hit kill::
"Done."

So overpowered it hurts. It's unfair to be able to wait so long to do these.
Yeah, after venturing for over 25 hours I finally ran into a Seeq. Rangers and Pirates job classes here I come.

And the clan trails. In hindsight the only reason I'd do as many clan trails as possible is to get the shop discounts early on. And, maybe, to get the extra loot each battle gives you.

Holy FUCK everyone needs a Master Monk with Cross-counter, stat. It's pretty much the best thing ever since everyone and their mother has Counter midway through the game and it allows you to rape them with no remorse. It looks like it does double damage+ and negates the enemy Counter. So sweet.

Just got a little further in the story (too many side quests ._.) and finally got that lil' Moogle named Hurdy. Best name ever. He's so cute too, can I take him home.
lawl, tell me about it. The master monk in my clan has a evasion rate of 29% plus blink counter. Which is pretty damn awesome *tosses him into a pit of Malboros to see him dodge everything*
My question now is what armor or weapon teaches my monk Cross-counter?

You're probably a bit farther than me by now. I just met Hurdy but then I decided to go side questing again. NOW I'm stuck in this battle tower-like place fighting all sorts of monsters. This is what I get for reading all those notices D:

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Ah ok, I just need the loot then.

Anyway, yeah. It's that tower. Curiosity got the best of me. I was doing well up until the first watch area where I thoroughly got my ass kicked before I could make the first move. That rabbit could rip a tank apart .
(most of my team is at lv.40 or lv.39. The guys on the first watch floor were all lv.50. Yeah, I got raped.)

On the up side I did gain a few levels and lots of rare loot inbetween each battle.

Most amazing jew boots

I'm so behind you guys so I'm doing my best to not read your posts .

I've about spent 55 hours (110 missions done) in the game and I still haven't progressed much at all since my last post. But I did run into the 4 commanders of duelhorn or whatever they're called. Stole that ninja's Tabi shoes too so I'm feeling pretty good.

I'll beat this game some day!

There's nowhere I can't reach.
