It does?
I always thought Gamestop cater towards pre-order customers because each employee has a monthly reserve quota to meet (I call them brownie points.) Which is why I get the whole store trying to convince me to pre-order a copy of the next mario kart despite SSBB coming out in a week.

Also, damn you Miles. DAMN YOU >:U
You better get a head start at playing that game. Because I will kick your ass. Mario vs Sonic, items everywhere, animal crossing town, sunday night, be there or be square!

Ok, I added everyone's Brawl FC I saw in this thread and the Wii Friend Codes thread into gfwiki. It's over here~
Also, I will add that same list of players to my Brawl list. You should see a PM from me fairly soon *is gonna play more Brawl in a few minutes :3*

My initial thoughts on the game?
I only got to play in a bunch of stadium modes, event mode and the Emissary stuff. Awesome, AWESOME game! I wanted to stay up all night to see what I could unlock (it was 1am when I got started) but standing in line like a fool got its toll on me. So I only managed to unlock Marth, a huge amount of trophies and stickers ._.
I can't find anything wrong with the game either. The game is on a dual-layered disc so I was expecting slightly longer loading times as well.

Oh and the Pokémon Trainer is fun as hell to use =D

Just letting everyone know that I updated the gfwiki page with more Brawl FCs again. Including myself there are now 16 players on the roster =D

Hey Freelance Wolf, if you're reading this those were some funny matches! I'm never using Wario's fart move at 120% damage ever again. God, was that embarrassing.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

During my match with ROB (who's ROB? ;_;~) I found the match to be so laggy I could barely see what I was doing. Talk about stop motion gameplay .
But yeah, I think I'll blame the overloaded SSBB service for now. My 15 or so matches with Freelance Wolf were relatively lag-free =)

Anyone else have shitloads of trouble with Event #14 1P? I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, as I spent 10 minutes per match just mauling Pikachu and the PT Trio.
Nah, it wasn't too hard. At least not as bad as say Event 23. It took me a good 10 tries to get it right D:.
Like Lacerta said, just pull out six pikmin and protect them until they sprout flowers (someone told me that takes about a minute to do.)

What a fun 3 hours I just spent (instead of studying ._.) I've finally unlocked all the characters~ Toon Link gave me the most trouble though. Somehow he could always get the smash ball at the very last second!
I also completed most the event levels on normal, completed All-Star Mode on normal and registered a bunch more gffers I saw in the wiki =D

And I updated the gfwiki page with the following members as well as adding them to my friends list:
Mo0 5284-1108-5060
Lacerta 1590-4373-2368 (LACE)
Sparhawke 5026-4155-4640 (Spar)
Temari 3566-1231-8762

That's enough of Brawl for one night. Hopefully I will fight the lot of you by this weekend.

Hm, weird. Every single person still says "awaiting authorization" on my game. Do I have a setting wrong somewhere? =/
Just bad timing I guess. I believe both players have to be online in Brawl for the registration to confirm itself on both sides.

Is it just me or were Toon Link and Jigglypuff both EXTREMELY hard to defeat? It took me significantly more attempts to get them than any other hidden character.
For me Jigglypuff was no problem to take down. Though I did get lucky and scored a golden hammer early in the match. Toon Link was a different story. One of three things would happen that would eventually lead to my demise:
1) Toon Link finishes me with a Smash Ball out of no where.
2) Dodges like a madman and kills me with a good ol' forward smash attack (this made me feel like a awful player.)
3) I accidentally get catapulted off the ship while having taken 60% damage or so.
Eventually I got him by using a character I'm good at, which was Link. Boomerang and Arrow spamming were particularly effective against Toon Link. Then all it took was smash attack in any direction.

The lag actually isn't so bad this time around but now I'm getting alot of dropped connections T_T.

Kai, I'm slightly pissed off by that match. o_o

Two suicides by stars and one by overshooting an Up+B.
Lawl, and I was starting to think you were getting the upper hand on me. Then you suicided with that warp star .

Yeah, the dropped connections happened on three separate occasions today so I don't think you were the cause of it. Still those were some damn good matches
Anyway, in a few days I'll have a lan adapter to see if that will improve the connection issues I'm having.

Ah, LOL.
I thought you got pissed off and disconnect everyone when I went after you with Yoshi's final smash and killed off your last life.
Haha, come to think of it I got killed too many times by you!

Also, sorry for dropping out early just now. Got a dinner party thing I need to attend to. I will definitely brawl with you guys some more over the weekend!

Kai said using the usb network adapter has reduced his lag by a great amount so I'm going to visit Best Buy today and see if buying one will help my nasty lag issues that's keeping me from playing online.
Yeah it definitely fixed my "dropped connection" issues I was having and even reduced the input lag by a noticeable amount. But that still varies on how many people are brawling with me. One on ones? No lag. Three to four players? You still have that quarter-second to half-second lag input. But I guess that can't be helped since I'm literally a ocean away from most of you guys.

Anyway, if you have 25-30 dollars to toss around I'd consider getting a lan adapter :3.

I'm really liking some of these clever smapshots you guys posted. Wolf's "moon bread", SnakeXZSS, and immp's Pikmin Parade are my favourite ones so far.

On that note, do you need to be Wii Friends too in order to send/receive pics to each other? I noticed I can only send snapshots to a small amount of people, most likely the ones who were registered as Wii friends with me already. I'd like to receive as much funny snapshots as I can get ^_^
Yeah, it seems that way. I get a notice from either you or Freelance Wolf on the Wii's dashboard whenever you guys send stages or snapshots.

I'm enjoying Wolf's Moon bread photo, too. I gotta try putting together a few shapshots =D

Two Random Ideas:

1. Brawl Clans. We fight for Brawl superiority on GFF.

2. Screenshot of the Week. <_<

Pretty self explanatory. Members submit their funniest screenshots, we vote on the best one.

And all I did today was play with friends in Brawl. Took them forever just to defeat Tabuu in the SSE... This is why I'm happy I ended up beating the game alone. Four fucking hours just to defeat the rest of the SSE from 40%.
How will the Brawl clan idea work out exactly? Do we partner up in teams of two and play team brawl matches? If so, I guess I'm interested!

I read somewhere (probably in the online support page @ Nintendo) that only their brand of the LAN adapter would work with the Wii. Though maybe they're just saying that so you'll buy theirs, I dunno. Come to think of it, I can't remember whether or not the one I have is Nintendo brand, and I know it works.

Say, I noticed in The Great Maze that some of the save/portal rooms twinkle different on the map than others. Anyone know if that might mean anything?
Well that seems to be a false piece of info if I ever heard one. Me and Miles have the Datel LAN adapter and it's working just fine. MUCH better than the wireless connection (for me anyway!)

Are you talking about the 4 "different" save point rooms? As far as I know, those allow you to teleport to one of the other three save points more quickly.

What Skills said, basically.
But I want to know why Spear Pillar is banned. Sure it's randomly annoying from time to time but that's what makes it such a awesome stage to Brawl on.

So I finally got Wolf, making the quest for the characters complete. Still have some more challenges to get through.

One thing, how is one supposed to possibly kill 5 opponents in Cruel Brawl? I managed ONE with spamming Ike's Up+B.
There's plenty of videos explaining how to get a lot of cheaps KOs in Cruel Brawl. I actually found it harder to do the same thing with Ike's Up+B move. Then again I'm no good with Ike =p.
Here's one that's easy to follow:

Alright this is probably going to seem pretty stupid, and is probably just from me not looking hard enough, but where can I find my friend code? I didn't get it down when it first came up and I haven't seen it since.
Oh just login to SSBB's wifi and select "With Friends." From there click on your friend roster and at the very top you should see your Friend Code.

Ok I'm glad I wasn't the only one then xD. I have to admit that was my first laggy match since getting the lan adapter (not counting Basil's test match since we were seeing how his connection was.)

Well I'll be available later today so if any of you want a challenge just drop me a PM or find me on Brawl.

From the Basil/Kai/Me Fight:

Why must I always suicide in battles against Kairyu?
That's ok, I made up for it by dominating you with a pink yoshi on his home turf.

Damn you Chaotic and Miles with your crazy ass Landmasters ;_;

The lag wasn't bad at all in tonight's matches. Especially all the one-on-one matches I got to do. The only problems I had was Basil's connection. Apparently having his brother as a second player is impossible on his wireless connection.

Heya guys, just got myself a Wii this weekend and set up my connection, so definitely looking forward to some matches. Nickname's Nex, code is 4725-7869-7084
I'll add you to the gfwiki (and friend roster) in a moment, if anyone hasn't done so already.

Yeah... kai, sorry for owning you with fox. Also, let's get 200+ kills on endless tomorrow. :3

I was ready to call it a night when I just had to check the friends list and notice you... had to brawl since we never had. Then when you used the Landmaster, I suddenly woke up. O_o No one's ever used it on me like that before, so I had no plan for countering it. And it didn't help you got the Final SMASH ball like 7 times in a row to keep doing it too. AHH... I might be Another Landmaster Hater. =p

You raped Peach so bad. ;_;

True.

JABBA
Did he fly you into oblivion, too?

edit:
Oh and naz, I gotta brawl with you again. You do play a mean Wario! You're the only one I know that can literally kick my ass with him.

I love using the landmaster on stages like final destination. I cleared the field of kairyu and the 2 level 9 computers with it thus increasing kai's hate for it. Having a phone conversation while playing makes it fun. Especially when doing endless brawl. We kept making it to 198 but then one of us would die for a stupid reason. We'll get it tonight!

Playing this game past your bedtime when sleepy isn't a good idea. Your reflexes start sucking and you do things like driving the landmaster into the huge pit at link's level. ;_;
*grinds teeth* >:I

You know Miles is tired when he skillfully catches the Smash Ball only to use his Landmaster to boost out of a pit and fall back down. Giving you the point.

As for the endless brawling. I'm convinced the AI intentionally lays extra bombs and bumpers as we get closer to 200 KOs. It also doesn't help that we're both at around 250% damage by then. So a regular punch or kick is enough to send us flying all over the place .

I was speaking idiomatically.

Sorry Kai, looks like my game likes to freeze up when I'm in a match with you.

I'm really starting to wish they'd included a random character filter, like there is with random stage selection (tied to your loaded name). When I don't get one of my least favorite characters, I seem to get Falco far more than I should.
Yeah, me and Miles can't figure it out. It's like on some days there is near-perfect lag-free matches. And on other days, like today, we get disconnects, freezes and laggy matches up the wazoo.

Oh and great matches Nexius =p.
I don't want to blame the lag, since I'm sure you had it too. But wow, you're good. VERY good xD. Either that or I'm just terrible tonight. I gotta rematch with you when the connection becomes a bit more stable.

Ah, I was enjoying a match with Miles, Kairyu, and Max Biggs but end up getting disconnected on the Pirate Ship stage. After that you guys stayed offline.
We were getting spotty lag all throughout yesterday. So we eventually got tired of that and called it a day after the 20th disconnect or so, sorry BigCN xD.

Yea. Kairyu did a cheap move with Kirby in one of the matches....which eliminated me out......the jerk....

Though lag hit me heavy during a few of those matches, leading up to 1-3 second delays....which was aggrivating me.
You can't deny Kirby's legitimate swallowing suicide strategy =D. For some odd reason it's far more effective in Brawl than in Melee.

Oh, the lag was almost nonexistent on my end. If you ignore the occasional 1 to 2 second input lag that happens every once in awhile.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
