Yes but FOMT looks better than this garbage by a country mile. Pokemon Gold and Silver pushed the original Gameboy and Gameboy Color further than any other game at the time. I don't see why we should let them getaway with this patheticly slow progress. Theres a huge gap between Pokemon releases so why does it feel like each game is barely a step ahead of the one before it?

To their defense. To animate over 380 monsters with individual hand drawn frames of animation for attack and defense and the like would take a hell of a lot of work. I'm more pissed off concerning the overall presentation of the game.

A good point from our imprisoned buddy here. When I was at the Pokémon connection tour tehre were some kids who were effectivly walking viruses witht he hacked monsters on their carts. People who traded witht hem, even non hacked monsters found their games bugging up too. It's going to add a whole heap of risk to online trading.

Oh Crash Nintendo ahve to provide some ridiculous reason to explain that you coudln't get munchlax by breeding in previous games. Nevermind that I'm sure everyone could jsut accept "oh Snorlax has a preevolution now, he didn't before" Game Freak have to cater to the smartarse out there who would point out the inconsistancy.

So no doubt to get munchlax you have to attach some bizzare item to your Snorlax whenyou put it in the daycare. Who knows what this item is? It's probablys oemthing totally logical like a red shard found underground or a dusk ball or something really stupid like that.

So from your multiplayer battles guys what is emerging as killer movesets and strategies? What adjustments have you all had to make? I know I've had to re-wirte my prefered Shedinja moveset as Shadow Ball and Silver Wind are terrible now.

Just NEED Metang, below level 50, with Ice Punch. It's my dream.

Man that sounds awesome Crash. I should probably stop complaining and start training. Right now I'm 100% focused on Pokémon Conneciton Tour though.

Acutally I might share a few movesets I'm aiming for with Gamingforce.

First up i should explain the metagame, it's level 50 only and übers are out. And it's not the one where you Pokémon get teleported to level 50 but level 50 MAX. So Dragonite and Tyranitar are out. For some reason the legendary trios haven't been ruled out, nor has fucking Latios and Latias but I'm betting they'll be removed at a later date.
Also, 3 on 3 battles with a ten minute limit which puts the squeeze on stalling and tank tactics.

So far the only two Pokémon that I've finalised and in the process of training in my team are

havent decided on an item but in all likelyhood I'll just use silver power or bright powder. Or Black Sludge.
Most liekly this'll be my opener unless I see my opponent has a psychic heavy team. His strategy will be simple enough, confuse, hypnotise and then U Turn to get the fuck away from the psychic/electric/rock pokémon they will almost certainly switch in. Hopefully it'll be a psychic one because U-Turn will be an excellent surprise for them. Haze is there incase he makes a re-appearance to nullify some tank or curselax or whatever.

Also i have to hold it's evolution to level 43 so that it learns Nightmare before level 50.
there arn't any sleep clauses, and I hate those anyway so dont be surprised if I put anotehr sleeper into this team later. Nightmare can be fantastic when used on a Blissey, as it's the only ghost move that hits normal type and takes off 25% of their health everyturn. It's relying on luck but I like to take my chances.

By Christ. I reckon we should demote Wobbuffett's uber status. Now that Fling is in the fold. This was with a Shiftry, lvl 50 vs lvl 50 Wobbuffet. Fling, with an Iron Ball attached took off like 95% of Wobb's health. Wobbuffet didn't stand a chance it was fantastic.

Look the rules are the exact same ones used by the Battle Tower. Yeah Regigigas is shit but hey, he's banned cos he's banned in battle tower and his base stats are over 600.

Nintendo held an official tournament here with similar rules, only difference was it was singles instead of doubles. Wobbuffetts didn't dominate, neither did Lat@s (Soul Dew is disabled in Battle Tower, you can equip it but it does nothing) so just train your Pokémon and have fun. Build a team around either Abormasnow or Hippowdon if you want a chance at winning. THe only thing I'm confused about looking at the banned list is Heatran. Heatran is eligable for Battle Tower and link matchs. And it's not like he's any good either.


Also Wobbuffet fucking sucks anyway. Even the morons at Smogon have seen fit to unban him.
