Pippin I can't see Sega ever coming back. Apple are probably the only IT company at this point of time that has the technical know how, design skills, marketing and financial backing to make a console of their own. And even then, Apple have no real gaming experience, the Mac is still a laughable gaming platform. As for electronic companies. Panasonic seems to be the only one taking tentative steps but if Sony could pretty much come from nowhere to dominate consoles why a company like Samsung or LG wouldn't force it's way in wouldn't be out of the question.
