Honestly, the Wii controls don't add much to this game. Lure Fishing is cool, as is aiming with the bow. But the game would be just as playable on GCN. Some reviews have talked about the controls feeling tacked on and while I definately agree they could've done a hell of a lot more, what they have done isn't detrimental to the game at all, infact I'd say the manual aiming bow and cursor menu interface is credit to the game.

That said, the fact that you HAVE an LCD tv which I'm assuming is widescreen, I don't think you should go past playing it in widescreen. There have been times when I've been playing that I've longed for widescreen.
