Oh since we're posting vids I might as well throw a few recent ones.
I've taken to playing 2v2s with some of the folks over at SA, which wouldn't be all that notable if not for three things: Friendly Fire, Custom Moves, and some Custom Stages. I don't save as many matches as I should but here's a few from our session a few nights ago. My partner the whole night was Ness, and I'm not entirely used to playing alongside Ness mains but I think we got pretty good by the end. One guy was using a custom Donkey Kong moveset that's pretty fierce and probably could have been better used: Match 1 and then the rematch: Match 2 Our final match of the night someone broke out a custom Megaman, which was pretty neat: Match 3 And on to random silly shit, playing Little Mac against randoms is still hilarious PUNCH EVEN MORE PUNCHING How ya doing, buddy? #654: Braixen

Some recent things to add here. I played a bit with my buddy that joins us for Mario Kart occasionally. He's actually better at Smash than he is Kart:

MewTwo and the new balance patch are out. Among the best changes are the ability to share replays, screenshots, stages, and Mii Fighters with friends!

Not a whole lot, really. It's two different type of games between the two groups, and I goof around equally with both. FFA with Items is a different bag than 2s or 1v1s, so while I'm not trying 100%, I'm still actually putting in effort because the chaos often levels the skill playing field.

In an announcement sent out to the media, Nintendo says Sakurai will be outlining the details of Lucas’ inclusion in Smash Bros., the new Miiverse stage on Wii U, and Mii Fighter costumes inspired by Splatoon. So tourney mode is kinda bad. You can make user made tourneys but they're all 4 player FFA and everyone that isn't playing waits in training mode until it's time to fight. Spectator mode (along with 1v1s) are limited to the official Nintendo tournies, and those are even worse since they're limited to 2 stock 3 minutes.
Come on Nintendo, you have a whole community you could have asked about this. :\ Anyway if y'all ever feel like doing an actual Singles/Doubles tourney let me know and I could use my Challonge account to make a bracket and we could do this on a Saturday or some such.
