At some point we gotta get the gang together and do some Firefight Classic (non-mm). I miss those sessions we had with Daravon, Goodhand, Phong and all on ODST trying to see how long we could last.

Also people have been making their own little gametypes for it as well. Elite Golf Madness, Brutepocalypse (lol) Elitealypse (double lol) Hunterpocalypse (why) and some other shit. Sadly there is no Skirmisherpocalypse. Probably because nobody would survive it.

So I go into Rumble Pit to get the assist challenges for the day out of the way, and the add a little variety to what I play. Ended up playing Race for the first time, of course I won. Bitches don't know about my Ridge Racer.

The rest of the Firefight changes seem awesome, and good on them for finally fixing the god damn sniper building camping on Asylum.

Co-op campaign is fantastic. There's something magical about going into a level with three motherfuckers you don't know on Legendary and hoping to survive. I played a bit with Sheep last night and then went in by myself not too long ago. Got in a group who stuck around for about three or so levels in an amazing display of camaraderie, teamwork, and complete inability to kill the Hunters during the Spire level with the AA-guns. We also managed -without mics- to co-ordinate the Banshee unlock on The Package, and then proceeded to hijack a bunch of Ghosts and Banshees during the last part for some crazy shenanigans.

Oh, and you can boot people for betrayals. Had that happen in an earlier match when I got too happy with the falcon guns. The awesome group I played with was apparently against booting, even when I destroyed a Banshee on The Package and had the destroyed remains crush a teammate below. I couldn't figure out why I had a minus points thing come up until I looked down and saw the X.

Also got a bunch of commendations and shit upped today. War Machine and Leadership Element to Silver, and Close Quarters to Gold (hi Sheep). So now I've got two Gold MP commendations, but still nothing close to it in FF. Too bad I don't spam Gruntpocalypse all day like the rest of you fags.

Lmao what. Now that the playlist chages are up, WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU AT SHAKE. Ain't seen you in days dawg. The Arena is so lonely. I managed to make Gold but got booted back to Silver the next day. I'm sad.

Also I've found Arena searching using the Closest Skill modifier results in a lot less idiots and quitters. Takes way longer to find games but it's very much worth it.

e: Ahahaha one of the challenges for today is 100 FF kills with the pistol. I can't wait to see that shit. Bunch of dudes running around with pistols getting blown up by Fuel Rod Cannon grunts and other assorted bullshit. These are the challenges that make the game worthwhile, like that Jetpack one yesterday. I was fucking dying during Team Slayer on Asylum as dudes would run up to each other, start shooting and then simultaneously start jetpacking while fighting. Another guy was jetpacking with the sword. It was quite possibly the funniest thing I have seen in Halo in a while. Real men get FF challenges in non-Score Attack modes, by the way.

I still maintain that regular FF owns, even if you don't get the challenges as fast (though your other commendations end up more even instead of just ONYX DOME INSPECTOR LOOK AT ME I WHORE GRUNTPOCALYPSE). Ended up playing a round on Beachhead this morning where one guy quit out instantly, the other kid left in the third round after his mother made him get off (this was funny) so it was me and one random without a mic literally fighting for our lives for the last seven minutes or so.

There were enemies at every spawn and eventually we teamed up DMR/Shotgun style to clear the hallways and push the enemies back. It was epic. We even managed a Rockethog run with just the two of us before the game ended.

It's really just the ones I post about. For every awesome game of FF there's 3 or 4 run-of-the-mill games and at least one lame one. I did manage a match of Generator Defense with three randoms who actually understood how to play it, which is very rare. Shame all the game modes got boosted to three rounds because we only make it past Round 1 and then lost immediately afterward.
