Killing Quicktime

Okay, a bit rash title, but fitting none the less...
Some time ago, I installed some program which should work instead of Quicktime. Instead, it completely smashed quicktime. Oh well, I thought.
But now I want to play Second Life, and it uses quicktime for some purpose.

My question is: How can I remove all trace of Quicktime from my computer, so I can install it again? 'Remove Quicktime' from the Start menu doesn't work or anything.
And when I say all trace, I mean plugins, files, reg keys... the lot.

Any tips?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

It didn't help. I'm still not able to neither see quicktime files or play Second Life.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Okay, we could widen this. Anyone know a program which is capable of uninstalling faulty programs? There's some shell32.dll thing which has an error, and this means I can't uninstall Quictime.
Tips please.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
