But then again, Tamagochis, Yo-yos and Pogs never lure little girls out on a blind date and rape/kidnap them. The only downside of myspace is the ability to be a 15-yo boy when you're really a 40-yo pedophile. But luckily that's pretty rare even on myspace.
That's about the only negative side I can really say about myspace; that it's free and anonymous.
I've benefitted a few times from myspace, when I find that some very underground artists have set up their band-relative myspace page with music download and other information about the band. A perfect place to download or listen to music you'd otherwise have to buy the record for first. Checking it out before (if ever) buying is cool.
